Stem Choice
Right, stem choice has been narrowed down to two models.
1. Spank Spike Race 35mm - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/spank-spike-race-stem/rp-prod73095
2. NS Bikes Quantum Big 45mm - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ns-bikes-quantum-big-stem-2014/rp-prod110662
The 10mm length difference doesn't bother me because I am moving from a 70mm stem, so either length will be a huge improvement.
The Spike is a favourite everywhere, and for good reason, it's faceplate is 55mm wide!
The Quantum is new and has a smaller faceplate. It seems chunky and tough too but it's look is also very appealing as I have a black and white 2012 Trek Remedy 8
As a note, both stems would be bought in black.
They are identical in price, save for a pound, so I'm happy with either.
