Ladies are good. Ladies that ride are great. Ladies that can rip it up are, well, awesome. That’s one of the reasons why Mountain Cycle
jumped at the chance to be part of the first ever women’s freeride invitational coming up this weekend. The Slope Sistair
competition from September 3rd – 4th at Hemlock Valley Resort in beautiful BC, will provide the top women freeriders in North America the chance to showcase their skills in front of a panel of celebrity judges, sports media and a pumping audience.
As the Silver Sponsor, Mountain Cycle is not only supporting the event with funds needed to pull it off, but also a brand new 2005 SIN freeride frame that will go to the top competitor. One of the contenders who may come out on top is already on two Mountain Cycle models. Factory rider, Gale Dahlager, shreds trails from coast to coast on her ShockWave 9.5 and Rumble hardtail. She was practicing backflips during the recent Crankworx event in Whistler and is looking forward to the invitational… and hopefully nailing some more backflips in the competition!
“After meeting the founder and organizer of Slope Sistair, Stephanie Nychka, during Crankworx, I was really impressed and definitely wanted Mountain Cycle to be part of this unique, progressive event from the beginning,” said Rob Lindberg, Mountain Cycle PR guy.
“We believe women riders are very important to the sport and we’re excited to support this groundbreaking female competition,” added Sales and Marketing Manager, Eric Roesinger.
Mountain Cycle is based in Portland, Oregon and creates tools for riders who demand more. We’re about serious fun in everything we make and do.
