Pinkbike Poll: What Do You Perceive to Be the Riskiest Outdoor Sport?
I had to answer mountain biking, as I sit here with a fractured C2 in my neck. 4 months and I'm still at least 2 months from getting back on the bike. It was close to the end for me. I've been avalanched and rescued, but it was nothing in comparison. Nothing like a serious injury to help form an opinion.

Shimano Launches Ultread Soles & 2022 Footwear Range
Glad to see a lace retention feature on the AM-5. I have the last version and had to create my own. AM series are good shoes with a roomy toe box. AM-5 for trail work days, and AM-9 for riding days.

When you need them you need them. I've used mine a couple times. Before that I would frustrate myself trying to open the link.

Video: MTB on a Budget - Where to Spend VS Where to Save on Clothing
Cotton = death weave as it holds onto moisture whether sweat or rain. Polyester is my go to as it passes moisture better than smart wool : for me.I sweat lots, that is my reason. Dry fit is the best I have found, and can be had at goodwill for 6 or 7 dollars by the arm load. Gloves, I get work gloves at the hardware store for 10 bucks. They have palm and knuckle padding.
