PerformX/Evil racer Remi Gauvin is your 2010 Jr. Expert National Champ

Panorama, BC, was the location for this past weekend’s Canadian National Championships. With a strong field of competitors from throughout Canada, PerformX Downhill Team rider Remi Gauvin had his sights on a strong finish in the Jr. Expert class.During Saturday qualifying times Remi was able to qualify 1st in the Jr. Expert class (3:31), and 2nd fastest overall in the day, including the pro class. This gave the 17 year old Nanoose Bay, BC, competitor good confidence going into Sunday’s races. Taking the top qualifying position, Remi was the last competitor to come down in the Jr. Expert class. After a strong finish of 3:31 from competitor Nick Geddes, it looked like Remi would need to step up his performance to take the win. Fortunately Remi was able to put his PerformX Downhill training to good use and laid down a winning time of 3:28! This placed him 2nd overall in the day as only pro class winner Andrew Mitchel was able to better with a 3:27.
