Intense Racing UKs 2018 race season picks up where it left off.
Welcoming new young talent in DH junior rider Morgan Tyrell, new Intense M16 and Carbine bikes and fresh new TLD kit. We catch up with the team on preseason meeting, suspension testing and the first round of the HSBC National Downhill Series in our new video.
As in 2017, the team is split between downhill and enduro racers. For no-holds-barred downhill speed, Joe Breeden, Morgan Tyrrell, Olly Morris and vet Andrew Titley will be relying on the DH legend that is the M16. Meanwhile Sam Flockhart and Andrew Titley’s main focus will be racing the enduro-specific Carbine to its limits at the UK’s biggest events.

Meet Our New Starter
Morgan Tyrrell joins the team as our new junior DH’er for 2018
First Round NDS – Andrew Titley
IRUK’s Andrew Titley takes the first round of the National Downhill Series at Cwmcarn aboard his Intense M16.
The M16 and Carbine bikes will feature a super-high-end build including ENVE wheels, Chris King hubs and headsets, Sprung tuned suspension, Maxxis Tyres, Fabric saddles, ODI grips, MRP chainguides and Rockguardz fenders.
This year’s team-specced M16 comes complete with ENVE bars and ODI grips.
The 2018 M16 used by the team will be easy to spot on any race course thanks to this shouty yellow and green colourway.
Each rider’s race machine is encased in bike-specific Shack Wrap protection.
The iconic Intense Cycles head badge on Sam Flockhart’s Carbine is a reminder of our 25-plus years on the race circuit.
Custom Wheel Builds for the team
The team will be relying on custom ENVE wheel builds with striking red and stealth black Chris King MTB hubs.
Fresh TLD kit for the 2018 season
The boys themselves will be kitted out in the very latest fully custom Troy Lee Designs gear – including the new D3 Fibrelite full-face – and Spy Optics goggles. Each rider gets their own wardrobe of three full kits in different colourways.
