@R-M-R: As someone who has recently moved to north van, the cedar boardwalk features are surprisingly grippy in the wet! Somehow british boardwalk trail features manage to maintain a deadly ice-like texture in all weathers. haha

Fuel Up: 5 of My Favourite Homemade Ride Snacks
@JDugan: I figured it was better than arguing about seat tube angles and shock lockouts for a change! ;)

I like making flapjacks now and then for riding (weirdly, it turns out north americans have no idea what these are) Mix oats with liberal amounts of either honey or golden syrup, until super sticky. Cinnamon is good in there too. Mix in any extras you might like - nuts, dates, chocolate chips. Layer into the bottom of a baking try. Bake for maybe 45 minutes-ish or until the top is golden and slightly crispy. Cut into squares. Job done.

Innsbruck Bans Downhill Bikes from Public Transport
@jasminov: I understand that and that's exactly my point. The authorities tend to care very little about mountain bikers because for the most part we are a minority and contribute very little to the economy overall and in large cities. Mountain biking also seems to be seen a reckless sport, especially to the older generations than generally have the power. As a result, it takes very little actual conflict to make us look bad as a whole.

Innsbruck Bans Downhill Bikes from Public Transport
If anything it's a reminder of how short sighted the 'powers that be' can be. We all know not to judge a whole group of people on the actions of one person. But all it takes to get ALL downhillers banned from public transport is one dickhead to start a fight on a bus? Seriously? It would be like banning drunk people from public transport because a drunk idiot threw a punch at someone. I get that we are all stewards of our sport, but there are dickheads in every sport. Blanket bans are an unnecessary and ridiculous knee-jerk reaction.

Review: Fuji’s 2019 Auric LT Enduro Bike is Surprisingly Versatile
@mtmc99: I don't honestly know anything about GG. Also I wouldn't consider direct sales as I work in a bike shop and have enough industry connections to never need to. Again, it's a personal thing.

@MarcusBrody: I'd never buy a direct sales brand so get rid of YT and Canyon. I'd never buy a Scott as they seem unable to design a decent suspension platform without needed levers and cables everywhere. SC Nomad and Megatower are solid in the lower build spec and pedal really really well - would recommend trying though as VPP isn't for everyone. Can't say much about the GG, but everyone seems to love a patrol (their alu bikes are heavy as hell though). That's my personal opinion anyhow.
