Shimano Announces 4-Piston XT Brake Caliper
@kiddlivid: XTs are already damn powerful, and they have 4-piston variants in zee and saint. Why does there need to be an XT version?

Whistler RAW - Reece (Addison) Wallace and the Industry Nine Grade300 Wheels
@sutter2k: I'd like to say this is why I don't spend that much money on my day to day mtb kit, but I'd be kidding myself. If I could afford it, I WOULD trash it though.

Calibre Bossnut V2 - Review
That's a bit far, but it could easily kill the LBS. As it is, lower-end bikes are our bread and butter. Why should people go to a knowledgable shop that is able to both sell them the correct bike for them, AND repair it should anything go wrong? Much less pay for the service. It's another nail in the coffin for the LBS, most bikes will probably end up being sold direct, the LBS will probably still have to exist for servicing, but our prices will have to go up because we can't sell any bikes. And guess what? We'll look like the bad guys.

Calibre Bossnut V2 - Review
I lol'd at the slightly off-topic front derailleur rant, exactly how I feel. As much as it looks a good bike, I can't help but hate it. It's another nail in the coffin for the LBS.

That is a gorgeous set of wheels. Probably very pricey though...

huh, didn't even know you had one of these. Good frames. I'm back in the UK by the way, we should get out for a ride.

Giant Reign Advanced 2018 - First Ride
@arrowheadrush: I've returned several under warranty, but I guess as a wrench I tend to see the worst case scenarios. See how you go, you have a warranty at least.

Giant Reign Advanced 2018 - First Ride
@arrowheadrush: They're VERY unreliable. I worked as a mechanic at a Giant dealer and we got loads of them back under warranty (I had to rebuild mine second ride). They don't like dirt or wet weather as the sealing and tolerances are crap. Not good news if you live in the UK (or Canada). My advice is sell it and buy the new x-fusion manic. It's a shame, because it's the only real part that lets the bike down.
