This is where my head was going.

These guys can help push the P series bikes in a huge way. They can potentially hope bring a p.slope into the picture and develop a big little bike. Something like a park bike along the lines of what you see Yeti doing with Reed Boggs.

This makes a lot of sense.

The guys come with their own PR/Content creation skillset, Red Bull backing and a huge following all over Europe.

This makes a lot of sense to me. Best of luck to these guys. I really feel like Dawid got robbed out of at least 1 win last year and I truly think that if Symon pulls his entire run at Rampage he wins. Despite how amazing Cam's run was, Symon was on something special there too. Dude is due for a win. Next year might be it.

Toss in him kinda dipping his toes back in Slopestyle and doing well. The Redbull events like hardline and what not. These guys will turn huge dividends in regards to content creation and touch points.

Well played big S.

Isn't the Status basically a big little park bike? I'm sure they could do some fun content on that thing.

@andelinc: There's 2 versions of it. They're both great budget bikes. But no that's not what I'd be looking at as an end goal. If you're thinking about the 160, it's a full 160 bike. So you could in theory go with something like a 180 single crown fork on it. That might be pretty sick. But I wouldn't do a 190/200 dual crown. I think you'd end up too slack.

But the status line could make sense to be where they experiment on this type of stuff. Keep things kinda basic, aluminum, etc. Learn some lessons that get applied to future higher end bikes.

It's like the stumpy evo. They experimented there a bit and ended up making it too long and slack and it was basically useless. They could do that in the Status line instead of ruining the stumpy line. Experiment. what fails gets ditched. What succeeds moves on to bigger and better things.

Like Burton in the family tree boards. Lots of those shapes end up being 1 and done.

Like where you're heads at.

I checked Szymon's social media right before I hit publish and then saw he shared the news immediately after so I hastily updated this article to include both brothers!

@sarahmoore: Got letters wrong way round in article title, just FYI, Poles and Czechs were having a little Slavic joke here....

 @gooral: Edited - thank you!

@sarahmoore: you can also correct Syzmon to Szymon all over the article or just write David and Simon Wink

As much as I've always disliked Spec, this is great news. These brothers have been going hard for what seems like a decade plus totally committed to bike life. Congrats. Now, give us more good news about the dozens of other ridiculously talented pro riders that seem to need a sponsor.

Still a way off Danny Hart's...

Great! I don't know what is happening but Ns Bikes is dead since many years...
  • 3 0
I hope not, Eccentric 29 has been the bombproof constant in my fleet. But Wiggle/CRC being on life support would surely impact NS global reach
  • 1 0
Yeah, what happened to them, are they still going?
  • 3 0
@trashpander275: they are. They're still sponsoring UR team and a lot of local riders in central Europe.

I'm not going to say they've got fantastic future ahead of them, as it's hard to say that about most of the brands, but you can still buy their bikes here
  • 1 0
YES they used to RULE the DJ/street market an where making it into FR before they went full enduhhro

Will always love my NS suburban

With Rogatkin and Hupert onboard too, it looks like Specialized are going all out for dirt jumps
  • 5 0
Does this mean Specialized will bring back the P.Slope?
  • 2 0
I would love that as my 2014 p.slope is tired. However, if they didn’t do it for Nicholi it’s not super likely they will now.
  • 3 0
Congrats. Would be nice if those 26" Conti Speed Kings were still available to the public...

 Godziek got robbed.

That Pink jump bike would have me cheating on my enduro bike.

Is Dawid riding 26 or 27.5 on that p3?
  • 2 0
 Isn't the 27.5 the P4?

FINALLY Specialized!!!! Ya did something!!! (that doesn't gouge your independent dealers) This is really cool though!!
  • 1 3
Oh, I'm sure they'll find a way to make this turn out to be bad for their dealers somehow. They're really creative at that...
