Wow Tomas Misser would have come third in the 30-34 category at 45, still flying! And Joe Lawill 3rd in the same category, behind Lopes, it's like a who's who of MTB.
Theres a 60+ category?! Thats RAD!! I hit 40 this year and going strong. I plan on being on a bike when im 60+, cool to see these riders loving life and riding bikes.
I'm old enough to be considered a masters but I never understood the concept of masters world championship. I have raced at elite level on the road and I consider that my chances to be world champion one day are long gone. I can deal with it. Can't people accept they are old farts ? Is that a vanity thing ?
The whole concept is ridiculous, kind of a world championship of losers.
so Pumped to see so many old Ontario cup rippers out there still killing it! mad respect to Jeff Faulds, Brandon Cassel, Peter John Wegrynowski, and John Danyluk, you can take racing out of Ontario but you cant take these guys out of racing!
Absolutely a blast ! So wierd to be in the starting house abs see a bunch of old guys and thinking....do i look like that ? One of the hardest and most rewarding courses to ride with no crash on my race run. This event ranks up there with one of the best i have ever entered .
Over 30, no UCI points for a year and not be racing elite I think.
I've done this event in Andorra a couple of times now and it's great, closest you'll ever get to racing a proper world cup!
@Giddyhitch: old people don't get 'triggered'. We just get 'ticked off', yell a bit at the TV, say it was better in our day, and go back to our pruce juice and backgammon.
This is the 4th time Bruni (dad) wins the Masters World Champs if my googling is correct and he was champion last year so they already both had the rainbow stripes last year.
Yeewwwwwww!!
The whole concept is ridiculous, kind of a world championship of losers.
