Results: XC Team Relay - Les Gets XC World Champs 2022

That s a wrap on the 2021 Mountain Bike World Championships from Val di Sole.

The results are in from the first race of the Les Gets XC World Champs, and it's Switzerland that takes top honours ahead of Italy and the United States.


1st. Switzerland 1:17:14
2nd. Italy
3rd. United States
4th. Denmark
5th. France

 @dougfs: Tatiana Tournut. That explains the 18:09 Lap time. Sarrou pulled the French Team back from 7th to 5th. Prior to Tatiana's seat going to pieces the French were in 1st.

 It's too bad they don't post the Team Relay on YouTube anymore. It was a lot of fun to watch.

 Schurter not a bad lad to have for the final leg....

 Interesting varying tactics from the different teams. 2nd and 3rd place sent their MenU23 out last, going by the times both kept pace with, but couldnt reel in, Schurter. Or maybe he was just toying with them, knowing he only has to stay ahead, conserving his energy for Friday and Sunday.

 Just an observation on tactics. No team began with a woman. Only one team, Belgium, ended with a woman.
