Brain gapped out at 2:30 when Fedko just seemingly came to an abrupt stop in the air then drops straight down, while a shoe magically appears above him... took me a second.

His style made me pause the vid and take a screenshot! Truly on another level.

 @kingpine: Settle down.

Not enough Foghat references in here. Thank you for your service.

Slowride will always equal Guitar Hero for me

Such an awesome edit! The slow-mo really makes you understand just how high these guys are going and how much goes into one jump. I've ridden with a few different pros over the years and I'm a bit shocked how much that video opened my eyes or at least made me double-take on some of the hits.

Calvin is the Semenuk of videographers. Creative, consistent and he always blows you away

Pretty sure all this stuff is still impossible. And amazing.

Man you would add 5 more minutes just for Lemoine's gap haha ! So much air time

The Godziek spinfest did it for me.

Pretty sure if he didn't crash, he'd have given Emil a good run for his money.

@bananowy: Absolutely! I think I like Godziek's tricks a little bit more, but Emil is just so precise that he doesn't leave him any margin for error.

I think Dawid vs. Emil is going to be the new Brett vs. Brandon.

A bit random maybe, I watched this at around 11pm uk time. I’ve just come home from a night out with my 92 yr old dad, reminiscing. I sort of feel that this sport I love is the most amazing and the greatest spectacle, and I’m biased, obviously. My dad rode dirtbikes, (scramblers in his day) but for him, two wheels wouldn’t figure in my life, and now I ride MTB with my son. We are away in a couple of weeks to watch hardline together. This sport gives so much to me.

For clarity, I can’t do anything these guys do, but they inspire.

Best freaking edit to date in history of pinkbike, music, all of it. Thank you Sir. Stellar.

Awesome video, the only way to truly grasp what these guys are doing is to watch it in slo-mo first
  • 1 0
still can't, it looks harder in slow mo.....

If it's 44 seconds and 17 milliseconds, why does the clock at the end tick over from 00:43:59 to 00:44:00?
  • 24 1
I guess that's just how clocks work
  • 5 1
@kbakes: Mmmmh not when counting milliseconds Smile
  • 1 0
It should read 44 seconds and 17 frames.
  • 1 0
@paulwatt: a millisecond does not equal a video frame. By definition a millisecond is 1/1000th of a second. A frame of video is 1/24th of second. Yes you can shoot higher frame rates but when you watch back videos on your phone they’re playing at 24fps or 30fps
  • 1 0
@pierceklinke: That's the base framerate for videos but with modern phones and cameras, you do have the possibility to watch a video @60fps, especially the FHD/2K/4K ones
  • 1 0
@Aksel31: while you are not wrong that is not the norm. Watching videos at 60fps will look unnatural to the human eye, almost appearing too smooth. I work professionally as a filmmaker and I can tell you this video is either 24 or 30fps. This has nothing to do with the framerate shot in camera (most of these shots look like 240fps to me), it’s all about the base fps of the timeline that the video is edited in and thus exported at

How the actual heck do they do this? I guess I wonder the same about skateboarding these days. Freak'n wizards
  • 2 0
I would think that at this level of expertise the riders really do experience bullet time.
  • 1 0
In a way they do. If you have done any competition sports you will most likely have experienced something similar (if not at this level).

This was absolutely stellar and I wish my brain could somehow watch these comps in real time like this so I could finally understand the circus tricks these guys do. BRAVO!

watching Emil catch pedals at 3:04 is magic.
  • 3 0
 .17 is 170 milliseconds, 17 milliseconds is .017

 Dark side ?

 Lemoine got robbed. :-)
  • 3 0
If they included it, the whole thing would have taken 10 minutes!
  • 2 0
They should totally ride it at that speed, it's way easier to watch

It seems like these guys, gymnasts, and high divers have a lot in common.

Comprehending what is happening is fine but I'll never comprehend how its happening. Seems like wizardry.

Thanks to Calvin for this video - so cool to see everything that needs to happen perfectly for each of these tricks

That backflip at the end, second most memorable run of the event!

Wonderful, thank you for posting this!

I wish I had hours of video like this to watch.
