Hubapalooza is about bringing people together. The northwest had a long winter, and everyone is ready to get the bike season going. This event just wrapped up its 10th year anniversary, and historically marks the beginning of the racing season in the PNW.
The weekend kicks off with day one of two of the People's Enduro on Saturday morning.
Unlike many race venues, Beacon Hill is a place to bring the whole family, and every bike you own. There are trails ranging from flowy singletrack, knarly rocks, and big senders. Even when riders are off the clock, they are still pushing up the hill to get laps on the jump lines spread across the hill. After the DH race ends on Saturday, big bikes get traded in for little bikes for the high jump contest. This is quickly becoming one of the most entertaining and rowdiest events of the weekend.
Both Saturday and Sunday have a DH race. These courses are classic, and have been raced for ten years without the need for much variation. A good mix of high speed and technical sections keep it interesting.
When the racing ends, the mega trains through the jumps begin!
Huge thanks to Josh Tofsrud and his team of volunteers to continue to put on this event!
