LOL I was thinking that when he hopped through it the first time. It could probably be done.

That blue bike just isn't the same as the orange one...

I quite like how he always comes across relaxed and down to earth, fame has not gone to his head. Looks to me like he still rides just for the enjoyment, getting paid is the bonus.
  • 18 0
Exactly, he's always got a massive smile on his face. Love it!

 Awesome rider, awesome bloke.

A video about a scottish trials rider, riding in Taiwan, flashing a guy in a t-shirt, that says Kyrgyzstan - made me think, that the countries don't really matter - it is just us, People, and the Planet Earth.

  • 1 0
just random stream of consciousness. Wouldn't mind some arm bands though Big Grin

Always good stuff from Danny. The factory workers were stoked to meet him. Good guy.

I'll never get bored watching him ride.

Same here. No matter how many times I watch this stuff, it repeatedly blows me away.

Danny you rock! Every time I watch a vid I can't help but have a huge smile on my face. No matter what you're doing you're always having fun. Can't wait to go ride today, awesome way to start the day. Thanks Danny!!

I love the three old guys that don't even flinch. If anything Danny is smoother than ever.

For a country with so many people about, there are not nearly enough people standing around and gawping at him... their loss! Sick vid

The worst thing is, despite making 90% of the best bikes and kit in the world, most Taiwanese people have no idea that Taiwan is so special w.r.t. bikes. Even the people working in the factories. For most of them it's just a job. The sport has so much untapped potential here it's a shame to see it go to waste.

 2:08 urban pumptrack!!! :O
  • 1 0
 looks like that...but nope~
I was there riding my bike and a crazy lady(maybe a volunteer?) asked me to get out of the area. she said no bikes there...blahblahblah....
:
but anyway, it was fun.

I am humbled ever time I watch a video by Danny MacAskill. His talent, demeanour and love of the sport is something we should all strive for. He is a true ambassador.
  • 6 0
So damn entertaining. Doesn't he have any fear? I'm convinced he has a built in gyroscope in his head.
  • 3 0
Yeah, we all do, its how you can keep your balance when you ride your bike, let alone stand. He just is more comfortable using his.
  • 6 0
 Never dissapoints. Pretty damn brilliant.
  • 4 0
We dont call him Danny "MadSkills" MacAskill for nothing!!!

Such a great ambassador for the sport.
Thx Danny!!
  • 2 0
Its hard to believe it, he gets BETTER every time I see a new video... I didn't think it was possible when I saw his first video many years ago to improve upon. You rock danny Smile

I've said it about Semenuk, and I'll say it about Macaskill. He's a robot, and a f*ckING ROCK STAR!!!!
If I went overseas and rode on that stuff I'd end up in jail. And get laughed at. After I got up.
Danny's got the world by the balls. No spotter on that reverse nose wheelie to 8/9' drop. Robot!! I think too many people look at this and say wow, without realizing what they are watching. I really think he's doing things that only a couple could do in the world, and he's the only one on a bike. Amazing skills

The riding in this vid isn't even human, I feel like I know nothing now hahaha.
  • 3 0
I love seeing the reaction of people seeing something incredible for the first time.
  • 3 0

 Welcome to Taiwan!

Fuck me Macaskill does it again!.....what a legend, I mean seriously WOW!

I really enjoyed this video. Danny doing what he does best and his riding seems to be getting back to where it was pre injuries.
  • 1 0
I love seeing the reaction of innocent by-standers. Near the start there's a guy that sees him doing a move and excitedly points him out to his partner then starts clapping. Brilliant.

This makes me proud to be a scot
  • 1 1
Amazing! He makes it look so easy, I think I can do it.
Question for all who have the knowledge.
1. How long should the stem be on this style of bike?
2. 24" or 26" wheels?
3. Sprocket sizes?

Thanks,

Carlos
  • 3 0
 1) It's a matter of preference.. The longer it is, easier to do stuff, but less confy... takes a while to get used to long stems.

2) 24 is better for spins, 26 better for pure trials, natural terrain.... If you're a street addict, go for 24. If you like natural terrain, 26 for sure.

3) Again matter of tastes... the harder it is to pedal, the better is to street stuff.... the softer it is, better for slower "pure trials".... i use 22-17 and it's pretty confy for everything.
  • 1 0
 Thanks buddy.
I'll go with 26" wheels and maybe 50mm stem.
I got 3 choices for frames: Mountain Cycle Rumble, Mountain Cycle Battery and a GT Ruckus DX.
One of these should be a good started bike, right?
  • 1 0
Whichever one you want to kill first is the best place to start... Gear doesn't really matter when you're trying to master this art! I used to ride size-small alloy cheapies until they broke or bent, then built a new one up. Strong, cheap cranks and pedals are a good investment, as are bombproof - not gourmet - wheels and big, soft tyres.
  • 1 0
Ya this guy knows his stuff. 24s spin the best and rule street riding outside pure 20". There are a handful of 26" riders that could challenge this opinion. This video shows you have to be good at trials, mtb, bmx, it all comes together and creates the best riders.

Just quietly, if I saw a video caption of 'Danny Macaskill takes a shit' I would probably click it... ;o) all his vids are sick!

speachless again. yo Danny.. how's mom? that was sweet.. let me know if you're going to Japan..my friends there would freak out ..lol

It would be nice if the products were made in the UK, that way it would be helping the British economy and not putting money in Taiwan's pocket.
