Those totally killed the video... But I guess they are just a reference to the riders fathers, who are riders too, so it is ok, I guess... Europeans have a weird sense of humour sometimes...
Loris Vergier & Loic Bruni = 2 DH Pro riders (Team Lapierre) JP Bruni & Claude Vergier = Fathers Loris and Loic wearing the racing outfits from their fathers. Back in 90's. This video is a tribute to MTB history ! This 2 kids are Pro riders because of their fathers (values & passion) Enduro is pure fun > Seriousness //// OUT !
I have liked all of the genepifilm videos that I have seen over the years. Always with an original twist to keep it amusing and show you don't have to take life or riding too seriously. Anyone complaining just doesn't get it. I say, Keep em coming!
Guys, chill! This vid is about 2 fathers and their sons: JP Bruni and Loic; and Claude Vergier and Loris. JP and Claude have been riding for a long time, so this is all about how a dad can pass on the torch to his son. The kits and visor less helmets are just a funny reference to the golden age of MTB when JP and Claude started to ride.
May I suggest checking out exactly who Bruni and Vergier are before slating them?? It just so happens that this is in reference, tribute even, to the fact that they were both racing in the early 90's and the accumulated experience has led to their boys being rather good at riding bikes. As in junior world champion and top5 elite world cup good at 18.
So basically if you're not wearing a brand new TLD kit, you're not a decent rider ? Come on, just try to follow Loic and Loris, they will give you guys a run for your money! ;-) OK, there is some French humor but you can go beyond that
normally i would think to myself "i prefer the fine stylings of a visor and spandex is just not applicable for the riding i do"..
but instead i am thinking that all you homophobic fashion queens freaking out about what other people wear while they are out on a bike ride (like your opinion matters).. WoW! way more gay then no visor and spandex!..
I just started back into this great sport at the end of 2012. Last time I rode a bike was 1999. Back then it was called mountain biking. Now there is a bunch rules that have been added and now it is called enduro? Im missing something. When I was a teenager this was called XC as most of the races I did looked like what is now called enduro. Now xc looks like a bunch of roadies on knobby tires on dirt. I say Xc has lost its edge and enduro is just plain old mountain biking.
Ohh and to all of you who seem confused. Mountain biking is a sport not a fashion style. I do belive you are on the wrong web site if what is worn concerns you.
The outfits were a tribute to them, yes. It doesn't matter what helmet you wear if you ask me.. Great video and great riding.. This is where mountainbiking began I think
Fo real this 'enduro a bike movie' is a bit shit this year.... personnaly i m done with this video not watchin anymore of 'enduro bla bla bla movie'.......
Yeah I didn't really get the humor. Or the glasses, the helmets, the shorts over the long lycras... it must be a french thing. But they could sure as hell ride
Spandex, full face with no visor = COOL AS F*CK!
Are the rider outfits for real? Or are the taking the piss out of 1993 styling...?
