Great Video. Perfectly human bails are something I can really identify with. The bike surviving a 20 ft bail onto concrete also sold me on Fox / Mongoose.
I can't believe he went to this length- I mean making a 6 minute video with made up, obviously faked crashes to try and make us believe he didn't land them all first time.
Met him halfway up Aonach Mor (Fort William mountain) in 14. He was there on his own as a downhill fan. He is a very unassuming guy who I was surprised that more people didn't recognise (or at least acknowledge his presence) Nothing but respect for him so much talent and dedication.
Thanks to Chris for posting this videos- nice to see that some of the pros are human after all. It gets very depressing for us hacks watching polished videos where the rider never bails. That's why I live for Fails of the Month.
Lastly Pinkbike : Any hints for bailing successfully and not ending up with a broken helmet, a mouthful of sand and a grubscrew embedded in your shin are always appreciated.
What got me was that wheelie 180 thing he did when he rode into the room and just turned the bike around on its own axis, so quickly too, absolute perfection!
Its like at the end of an animated film, where they pretend to have out-takes...He wanted to "create" these bails in effort to relate to his fans, haha.
@blinkpike: but look at the way the tire deforms around the rocks on a fairly soft impact. it can't have high psi, and it deforms basically all the way to the rim. clearly there is some magic afoot, and I want it in my tires!
1. He's so versatile and incredibly talented.
2. He talks exactly like I do.
What a guy.

no need to be like chris to ride this bike, haha. interesting, right?
next... can it be a collaboration chris akrigg & danny macaskill ???
;-)
