Review: The 2020 Santa Cruz Hightower Gets a New Look & More Travel
You sure can, @CM999. Swap to smaller rotors and 19mm internal width rims. Throw that dropper post in the trash and put on a fork with 32mm legs. Add in tires with precious little sidewall protection and boom, you’re down to a 27 lb trail bike just like 2009. Let us know how you like it.

Opinion: Why Have Bike Makers Ignored this Grassroots Fix?
Pinkbike has the contact info for every mountain bike brand’s marketing manager on the planet. Maybe instead of creating a forum for asinine conspiracy theories you play journalist and actually ask them.

Ask Pinkbike: What to Upgrade, Short Steerer Tube
I'm sure that most product managers are wonderful people, but make no mistake, they'd sell their grandmother to ISIS if it allowed them to save $.75 per bike. Get rid of those DB5s yesterday. Great brake, but not for me this application.

First Ride: 2016 Trek Top Fuel
The behavioral research on this is unassailable. I worked for a +$1B company as a buyer and tried to get them to drop the .99 ending, but the truth is, it works.

Should give a little more pop for boosting jumps while letting the front eat up trail obstacles, too.

@Elspecialized. You couldn't find carbon rims on a production mountain bike 5 years ago. Nor droppers (not that there is one on this bike). Even carbon bars were relatively rare. Plus there were fewer full carbon frames. Account for that, then adjust for inflation, and bikes aren't actually much different in price. Don't believe me? Pick a model further down the price spectrum that doesn't have these options and enter the price into a website that does inflation conversions.

Enve 60forty 650b Chris King Hubs Excellent Shape

$1500 USD
Enve 60forty 650b mountain bike wheels with Chris King hubs (Shimano/SRAM 10) and black decals. These wheels are in excellent shape and were ridden for about 6 months. As every review states, the only thing fragile about the wheels is the decals so I paid for new ones so that they look as close to new as possible. Super stiff, light, crazy strong, they are a noticeable improvement over aluminum wheels. I especially noticed the difference through rock gardens and hard corners. These wheels are in great shape, no gouges, flat spots, or other damage. Fresh tape for your fresh sealant, too ! MSRP is $2,500, yours for $1,500 and free shipping!
