Euro Bike Part 4 and Final.

That's it, it's over, a quick whistle stop tour of Eurobike.

We were there for less than two days and ran around ragged to bring you a quick snap shot of what is new in our World.

Here's the last of the goodies from Charley's camera,
photo

Funn Hooka Cranksets in new wrap designs.

Pretty sure you will see these aboard BMX, Dirt and DH bikes.

photo

Funn going color crazy.

Did Norco have the sole license to manufacture bars with a wrap over them? If so that's now expired so expect a huge influx of this kind of thing.

photo

Funn MTB Waffle Grips.

Jim Van Doren would be happy with these. Who? I hear you ask, perhaps his middle name will give it away?
Available with or without flange and of course lock-on.

photo

Lapierre 720

Check the comments if you can't spot the fault...

photo

SDG Patriot Saddle

I-Beam with a super low profile means less flex and extra tough.
Available in Black, White and Orange.

photo

A marriage made in heaven?

KS and SDG's romance has now blossomed, will kids follow? Let's see...

photo

Will Gravity Dropper be next?

photo

Spy Shots from Clarks, the cable and brake pad people.

They have moved from my hometown in Birmingham to Tamworth, just up the road. I'll be there soon to bring you the latest on these brakes and the two pigs.

photo

Nick Bayliss

I've personally known Nick nearly 20 years. Anyone remember his first clothing company "Moves"? Of course you will know him from Royal Racing with his collaborations with Steve Peat. He's also free lanced for Troy Lee and more recently, Charge Bikes. Word is he is now off to New York to design the top baseball clubs team kit!
Think he can design clothes? You'll want to see him on a bike...

photo

Checkout this purple helmet.

photo

Giro making the move to get down with the kids.

photo

If only Santacruz UK had these the other week.

Kryptonite New York Legend Chain.
15mm Round Chain Links are harder for bolt croppers to get a clean edge on.
16mm Shackle
90cm length $159
150cm length $239

Notice the one end of the chain passes through the other ends last link. Added security and tougher to "Bost".

photo

Been to the Megavalanche?

If so then you will easily recognize Ollie from the start line. His words are gospel.

photo

POC Lids

Whilst everyone is going crazy with the graphics, POC deliver the Ikea standard. Clean and lettuce crisp new colours for 2010.

photo

POC VPD Joint Knee

New padded side panels, think 661 Kyle Strait.
The top of the rim inside is fitted with a silicon band. Guaranteed to keep her in place and pull a few hairs out on the way.

photo

POC VPD Bone Knee

Now with new sleeve sock to keep her in place as well as lose a few hairs plus pads at side.

photo

POC VPD Long

Same features as the above, just longer! Also comes with rubber guards on the reverse to protect your calves from that dreaded pedal slip.
photo

photo

Park PFP-5 Track Pump

Flip out floor legs, inflates both Schraeder and Presta tubes and has one big mutha dial.
photo

photo

ParkTool Pizza Cutter

Yes we know this isn't exactly ground breaking new kit but trust me, some of these readers have never seen one of these before.

photo

Drag Racing

This is what bike shows should be about, bells and whistles!

photo

My Dad was on the look out for a new shirt whilst he was there.

photo

Giant Maestro

Your thoughts please...

photo

Giant Faith

photo

Timo Bracuts Giant TT

Let's be honest if you were racing time trials then this would be the one to do it on.

photo

Forget the Channel Tunnel, this one was much more interesting.

Mavic on display, note the new yellow DeeMax Ultimates.

photo

Mavic Crossmax ST

24 spokes, what more can we tell you? Well we have a set on test coming soon so hold fire for the word.

photo

RaceFace 5 bolt pattern

photo

SE OM Flyer

SE = Scott Enterprise
OM = Old Man

photo

Mondraker

Not quite what Barel ran at the Worlds. A mix-up between the new Giant and the Lapierre regards finish and looks.

photo

Quad Brakes.

Designed in the UK and a test on the way (that rhymes!).
Do Quad hold the license for wavy rotors? That's a hot topic...

photo

Are these all the Rage?

photo

Don't like yours much...

Next year the entire PinkBike crew are looking to hit the show, mob handed so expect the coverage to be 100 times better than this, video and all.

That said they are stepping up for Interbike in Vegas so keep it locked here for better looking girls and more bike bits that shine.

Stay Unclipped.

It is aint it! But I swear last years was a DH920, not it's a 720, maybe just a name change. I don't think much of the girl on the left at the bottom...
  • 2 1
Thats a lower speced model. It's the same frame as the 920 but with a cheaper build and a more reasonable price tag.
  • 4 1
hey timlake im sure the feeling would be mutual

 yeah both are awsome

you know what is about $200 cheaper than a kryptonite lock? A Brinks Security trailer towing chain (includes kevalr wrap) and a brings security 3/4" lock. Costs me only $36...
  • 2 1
The new faith looks so sick! And the new glory looks nice, but i liked the old glory shock placement more, its what made a glory a glory.

Giro is killing me, just too much with the graphics. I'm leaning more towards the POC.

wow on the lapiere the fork decals are on wrong it says XER on the botton but it doesnt say BOX on the top :L, it further round
  • 1 0
5 bolt pattern cranks, haha, everything old is new again. Except I bet they changed the diameter again, just to f#$^ with everyone.
  • 1 0
These are fixie cranks - the whole deal is called Decadence. The rings will be available in 45 and 47 tooth, come in 5 ano colours and are reversible. The rings also offer multiple chainline set-ups. They also ship with a 5 colour sticker kit for the crank pocket.

Here's a link to check out:

  • 1 0
the flaw on the lapierre is that the box on the sanction is on the back not the side
  • 1 1
sick parts. Is the fault on the lappiere 720 the boxxer logo on the fork is off.
  • 3 1
If you mean twisted stantions then thats all I can spot
  • 6 1
dunno about you but kinda worries me if I'm gonna drop 4k on a bike and their putting stantions on the wrong way round at 1 of the biggest PR events of the yr??
  • 4 2
I think it looks better. If I had a set of those forks I'd turn the stantions round to the inside, just to amuse myself and invite stupid questions from people Wink
  • 2 1
they turn around anyways, it makes no difference to the fork.
  • 3 2
This POC helmet is totally amazing ! Smile I luv green Big Grin
