Halo Twin Rail Tyres

Halo Twin Rail Tyres have been buzzing around Chicksands and catching my eye. To be honest you can't miss them can you? A bit bright for my liking but for you lot in your tight jeans, under 18 they might be right up your street!First off the pink ones are a little special, no not just the color I'm on about the thicker sidewalls. The pink rubber goes all the way around which is heavier than a conventional black sidewall. More weight then? Yes for starter, the benefit is less chance of pinch puncturing after casing the trails or coping down at the skate park.

Now back to the others:
These roll fast! The two continuous central rails (ridges) are in constant contact with the floor meaning zero rolling resistance so wicked for pumping between the trails or fun box especially when the pressure are right. Trails 40-50psi and Sk8 Park 60psi plus!

Not sure how the "Built-in Puncture Protection System reduces flats" works? Is it like a thick urethane bead like Mr.Tuffy back in the day? i.e imagine a piece of super tough rubber rim tape encased in the tyre itself to stop thorns or glass..? Or are they talking sidewalls and pinch puncturing, I don't know, do you?

Cornering under control is taken care of by a low profile stud tread pattern that takes care of lateral flex.

The center is a standard durometer, guessing around the 60-70a mark with the sides being slightly softer so again guessing 50-60a. This will give you fast rolling in a straight line and better grip in the corners. Think Maxxis 3c technology.

I have a pink and a green one, they are good for street. Like it says, they roll fast, I normally run about 50-60psi. They grip well on dry concrete, but not so much when it is wet. Also I have had pinch flats when using the pink tyre and a thick Maxxis tube...

"zero rolling resistance" ? someone needs a refresher course in physics....

yea wen i read that i lost it. maybe if u wear riding ur bike maybe riding around close to pluto??? but yea i got a laugh out of this one. Also kinda skeptical about the dual compound. my though is that if u want a high performance street bike dont buy them if ur not worried about sliding out(itch does hurt that much at all) then y not. bottom line is if u want grip buy holly rollers. u want neon colours??buys these. u want both TOO BAD

i had these tires and absolutely loved them. they seemed like a soft compound almsot and i never had a problem gripping to any surface. excellent tire.

my bike with them on there after some dirt jumping so they are a little muddy

I can not wait to see these on a build w/ the new Funn Components... a white frame w/ all neon would be "totally radical to the bone". I had to throw in a bit of '80's lingo with the comback of all things neon.

ive had these tyres for a while now and im never gunna buy them ever again they are complete um babba they dont grip to anything dont buy them!!!

i have these in the dual compound and they are really nice. they go up to 85 psi and i've only ever had one puncture due to a large thorn. really grippy and super fast rolling definately reccomend. the pink ones are quite heavy apparently 900 - 1000g +

it says trails 40-50psi but are they actually meant/able to handle trails? they look too slick to actually get any grip on something thats not smooth concrete.can someone help me out here? i like the idea of colors but i dont ride street... so would they be any good for trails?

there grip is ok...ive slid out alot on them in skateparks, and they puncture easily "off-road"....prefer maxxis holy rollers. but these are worth the money. BUT PLEASE PEOPLE IM ADVISING YOU, DONT BUY THE GREENS, Its horrible after a few rides as they lose there shine Frown and very hard to easy to get dirty

maybe they look cool, but those are piece of shit boys. I had a green one and it bursted after 2 months. Don't buy them they're heavy as hell and they don't deserve to buy them.

I had the pink ones for a while... YES they are a tad heavy but that puncture protection really works well! I had one flat with them and that was from a nail :/ obviouly not the BEST tires in the world but they are fast in dry conditions and are durable... After a while of sitting in my not-so-well sealed garage, they kinda hardened up like an old eraser and sorta dry rotted which I thought was odd...

You should ride around nails from now on

They remind me of the holy roller and hook worm. Its just so much rubber and way to heavy. You just dont need that much rubber, look at chase hawks tire or ruben alcantara. get like a larsen tt, there awesome

these look soooo sick !! i suppose there perfect if you just ride park/ street. when i buy my new street bike im gunna bang a couple of these beauties on.
  • 0 0
I doubt that very much. They look like street or dirt jump use only. You'd be bold to take them on trail unless you have no intention on climbing anything damp let alone travelling through muddy/rocky terrain.

yo how wide do the black ones come 2.35 ?
  • 0 0
TIRES SHOULD BE BLACK, it looks stupid when you have colored tires
  • 0 1
one thing i do know is, tires with colored dyes make the tire produce lower quality traction.
