Orange Alpine Top Spec, Hope, Renthal, Stans etc

$900 GBP
For sale is my well used but well loved 2013 Orange Alpine. This bike has served me well from epic big days in the saddle to racing downhill and the odd marathon its done it all and never let me down. Fresh drivetrain and brakes this year, JTECH tuned and serviced suspension (including a mod to the forks to allow volume reducers to be fitted as you normally can't on the travel adjust Pikes), 1 degree Works Components angleset fitted to slacken it off a little and steepen the seat angle a bit, tubeless setup on the Stans rims. All in good working order, bike still rides amazing! Full spec: 2013 Orange Alpine frame rp23 fox air shock with propedal. JTECH custom tuned and serviced. New low friction bushes fitted from TFtuned recently. 2014 Rock Shox Pikes travel adjust model JTech custom tuned and serviced with volume spacer mod Works Components -1 degree angleset Renthal 50mm stem Renthal 38mm rise fatbars 770mm Thompson seatpost Specialized henge sl 130 body geometry saddle Hope quick release seat clamp (red) Shimano XT cranks (under a year old) e13 33t narrow wide chainring (under a year old) Shimano XT brakes with 185/165 Ice-Tech rotors (under a year old) Shimano XT cassette 11-36 10 speed (under a year old) Shimano (I think!) hollow pin chain (under a year old) Shimano Zee rear deraileur (under a year old) Shimano XT shifeters Shimano DX pedals Hope pro 2 front and rear hubs (red) Double butted spokes (black) Brass nipples threadlocked Stans Arch EX rims setup tubeless with Maxxis Shorty 2.3 EXO 3C maxxterra tyres Optional : Renthal Fatbar carbon 780mm 38 mm rise £50 I have an old Reverb which will need a service as its super sticky and there's also some wobble in the remote. I don't use a dropper anymore as all my local trails are big climbs followed by big descents so a quick release is all I need. If you want it it yours for £25, I think a service is about £80 so factor that in if you want it. All my old 26" tyres, some of which are brand new if the asking price is met. As mentioned above this bike has been well used but I have replaced all components as and when needed so there is no reason why it wont keep running for some considerable time yet! I've tried to include any noticable marks on the photos, the main ones being some uplift damage from the 1 downhill race I did on the bike (headtube, fork crown) and some wear from all the pedalling I've done on this bike on the toptube. Main pivot is still good but I have some bearings you can have for when (if!) they ever go. Hopefully I've gone over everything but any questions just ask! Bike can be viewed in Leek, Staffordshire from Mondays to Wednesdays while I'm at work or in Abertillery, South wales the rest of the week. Cheers Si..

Nant Gwrtheyrn Gets a Lick of New Paint - Video
Could not disagree with you more mate. I'm English (for my sins) and moved up that way 10 years back and all the locals were nothing short of legends to me, some of the best lads I've had the pleasure of riding with. And if you are not happy with the facilities being offered to you, GO AND BUILD YOUR OWN. Unbelievable that someone could have these places built for them and then complain about it!! When I moved up that way there was nothing, we built and maintained our own trails and created a pretty amazing network of trails that we could uplift ourselves. Building trails takes A LOT of time, energy and money, you surely don't expect people to do this for free for your convenience? If you're not getting on with the locals I would suggest a change of attitude my friend.

Giant Glory 0 in great condition!! Price drop!

$1950 GBP
Selling my Giant Glory 0 which retailed for almost 5 grand only a year ago, selling for £1950!! Bike is in excellent condition with full invisiframe protection on the frame and forks. Just a few minor scuffs here and there as to be expected on a downhill bike, if you were to peel the invisiframe tape off I suspect the paintwork would be near to perfect. The cranks have some scuffs but again to be expected on a dh bike. Bike has been great for me but I'm not riding it much now so it'll have to go. I've used it for the grand total of 3 races and 4 uplift days so yea shes used but in great condition as you can tell from the photos. Sizewise I'm 5'10 and she fits great, if you're 6 foot or over you probably want a large. The large glorys are massive though so I went for the medium. Full spec here: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/glory.27.5.0/19244/77355/ Only changes being the grips which are now sensus and the addition of a ti spring. I also have some spare springs for the shock and forks. Fork and shock both serviced and tuned at J-Tech with low friction seals fitted to forks so they're like butter now! Grab a bargain, I cant see there being many second hand dh bikes in better condition for the money. Bike can be seen in the Leek (Staffordshire) area while I'm at work there half the week, or at home in wales Weds-Sat (20mins from Cwmcarn and BikeParkWales)

Emyr Davies Hammerin' RAW in North Wales - Video
Great to see my old tracks still getting some use Ems, top vid! 10 years ago I think it was the hardest thing anyone had ridden.. Some cool looking new sections aswell, good work. Miss that place and all you locals. Need to get up there again soon, I could literally spend hours sessioning that track! And I could definitely spend hours listening to Buds, Dai and Glynn in full flow after a few beers at Stables! Good times :)
