@deertrackdoctor: The course was taped correctly if one reads the rule book; if you look at the video it is pretty obvious where one needs to go. Another "proof" is that only two racers made the mistake and they came down after many others (so there's not even the doubt that the others got it right because they saw the mistake first). Richie admitted it was his mistake, and it wouldn't make any sense for him to cheat at that point. There is no doubt in my mind that he simply got it wrong without any actual intent to cut the course.
Then, we can discuss whether this way of taping is good or not - having raced at EWS I personally do not think it is - but it is what is written in the rule book for the races.
Perhaps true that everyone kinda looses out but that's also part of racing. It's not just about who turns around a corner the fastest; it's also about strategy and concentration to make it to the final win.

Norco Aurum C7.3 - Carbon DH
$1150 GBPNorco Aurum C7.3 2016, Carbon downhill bike. Only owner from new; I can provide proof of purchase. The bike is in excellent conditions; there are a couple very minor scratches from limited use, which I have tried to document in the photos. The bike is sold with all stock parts; exact specs can be found here: https://www.norco.com/bike-archives/2016/aurum-c73/. Bike has only been ridden in the UK, no travel.
Tyres and chain are in good shape. Only thing, it probably needs new brake pads as I haven't used the bike throughout lockdown.

@EnduroManiac: Seriously? Do you think that there's anybody of his age in western societies that does not understand the meaning and implications of using that word?
I am not a native speaker, there's no excuse for that language. That said I hope - and think - that he is probably not racist, just grossly uneducated on the matter. However, there must be consequences otherwise things will never change.
