@Zachmozach: I very much doubt commencal get a say in what tyre pressures they run. That's a riders choice.

Reveries are really specific. They rotate slightly to help with arm pump. One you use them is unlikely you will use anything else going forward.

Possibly a timing issue? I know some national bodies require a dh track to be x minutes long.... maybe this one was at the limit of what the UCI needs?

Results: Katherine Sharp & Roger Vieira Win Round 2 of the British National DH Series at Innerleithen
@richlong28: ah thats annoying, didn't realise that was the case. Seems strange considering it's a UK national as there can't be many races bigger than that.

From the british cycling page it would seem he would get 125 points for this race.... and world cup is 40 points to enter? Could be wrong though

Video: Gee Atherton Shares Footage of the Biggest Crash of his Career
@danielstutt: You are missing the important part where individual states also collect their own income taxes. so all up, once they are added to the federal taxes its not that different. What is different is how you get slugged in the US via insurance. Imagine a constant battle when going to the doctors to figure out what you are supposed to pay vs your insurer. Or you insurer just saying no to certain coverage. Or losing your job which your insurance is attached to and suddenly you have no health insurance. Or the insurers and hospitals working together to significantly increase the costs of care forcing you to pay more even though you are insured. Honestly the system is so screwed up over there its not even worth debating. The US health system is a total lost cause.

Baptiste Pierron Fractures 4 Vertebrae in Race Run Crash
Over here in South Aus our race dh series has the usual injuries each round. Say maybe 2 or 3 bones per 200 racers per round. But our big fast open track at willunga is notorious for claiming bikes and bodies. It can easily go two or three times the average, often with us having multiple ambulances and helicopters at the same time. And it's normally much bigger injuries involving spine and neck. So I totally believe that the fast wide open courses play a big part in the increase in injuries. Without trees, judging speed is really bloody hard and people just get insanely confident in speed which leads to disaster when you then hit a rock at 60 to 70 kph.
