Seymour Skinner year 1
After a successful inaugural year, MEC’s The Seymour Skinner is back for year 2. May 28th, 2016.

The challenging trails of the North Shore Mountains are unparalleled. And this race gets to showcase some old and new trails on Mount Seymour. Partnering again with Cycling BC, this is race 4 of the BC Cup XC series.

We learned a lot from the first year of the race and have made some changes based on feedback from our racers. This year we have shortened the laps a little by eliminating the pedal up the Powerlines trail and have taken the second section of Sticks and Stones out. But otherwise, the course is unchanged.

We have also added a new sponsor to the list, Bridge Brewing, who will be providing a free beer to all the racers (19+). We also have free food from the vendors at North Shore Bikefest.

Course:

The race is a 1, 2 or 3 lap course (depending on category). Starting at the Old Buck Parking lot, go up Old Buck and Powerlines, drop into the new upper part of Severed D, then right onto C-Buster, next to the new trail Asian Adonis, back to C-Buster, to Slippery Salamander, then Sticks and Stones, and onto Bridle Path. The last lap take Empress Bypass to the finish line at Old Buck Parking lot.

Hey guys, title of article (and MEC.ca) says May 28 but text within article says: Schedule:
"The Race will be held on Saturday, June 6th Rain or Shine.
"

Also you can map out the actual course on Trailforks as a route and embed that if you want.

From the looks of the Cycling BC standings, they are already struggling enough to have people come out to any of the XC BC Cup races. Why would they even think about putting an event on the same weekend as Nimby?? No one will be there! It says May 28th in the article, MEC's site, and the Cycling BC site.

Thanks. I have already advised the editors and hope they are working on it.

On the mec site it says May 28th. I'm confused. Why would they schedule a race on the same day as the Nimby?

May 28...same date as Nimby. That's not going to work.

Exactly. Dumbest planning ever considering half of June and all of July have close to zero races in the area.
