Geoff Gulevich Breaks Femur In Avalanche
@Tmackstab: Both were spiral. For the femur i had a rod inserted while for the tibia a plate and 10 screws. Progress for the tibia was quite bad for the first 2 months but doing physiotherapy for about 1.5 months afterwards(daily) had really good results.

Geoff Gulevich Breaks Femur In Avalanche
I've broken both, left femur and right tibia (not at once). Even though it took me more time to walk(put weight on foot) after the tibia accident it was a breeze compared to the broken femur and hip(recovery wise). Would choose tibia every time over a broken femur.
With the broken tib i was riding bike park after 3.5 months(1 month without putting weight) while femur kept me off more than 6 months.
