Pick AM flights leaving on Saturday to Vancouver out of ATL. In September, they're $500 round trip and really direct.
Don't take a checked bag. Get a 45 Liter duffel and a small backpack. Helmet fits in the soft duffel. All you need as carry on.
Rent from Whistler Demo Center for a 3 day package. Buy the insurance.
Take the shuttle bus to Whistler and be there in plenty of time to check in/hook up with buds/go solo.
Eat at Gone Bakery for breakfast (Paleo Breakfast has everything on earth for about $5 US that would cost $12 in ATL.
Furniture Warehouse for dinner - All menu items $5 (Canadian dollars, so about $4 US)
I spent $950 for my entire trip of 3 days in the park, rode in the pouring rain on Sunday with all the trails to ourselves and the place was as bone dry as Big Creek on it's driest day. Did laps non-stop from first chair to closing.
After 3 days, my body was toast and I was ecstatic. Me & my buddy blew up two derailleurs on $8k carbon Demo bikes and went through 2 sets of brake pads. Take your pedals (if you ride clips), helmet and fenders. It would have cost us a fortune to fly our bikes in and replace all those parts. Came out cheaper and got better bikes than 95% of the people in the park. The V10 I rode on day 1 even had ENVE wheels.
I think if you went for 4 days, one would have to be a rest day. Do it.
"Anyone try to slow you down, tell 'em all to go to hell"
So I guess I gotta go back.
