Sweetlines' mission is to build confidence, create community, and promote stewardship through educational mountain biking programs that empower women and youth. Under the guidance of expert coaches, riders learn to navigate the twists and turns of life on and off the trail within a fun and supportive environment.
Kat is the best! Our 6 year old daughter did the Dirt Shredders camp in July. She came out a completely different rider, full of new skills and confidence. Kat is also an excellent adult coach!
Wish I was a kid again and could attend camps like this!
I did a 2 day evergreen class with Kat, Simon (from Fluidride.com) and Ross (from evergreen). Really great to learn a lot in just a couple days and take on some jumps and drops I'd been avoiding.
You should have asked for your money back, crazyquin. Oh wait, it's a free park. These kids are learning skills applicable to riding which involve giving back to the community instead of taking and complaining. You should work one of these camps and teach them proper raking skills if you're so special. Otherwise, stfu.
Let's not get heated at these kids for doing a service to the park, not much else you can do without rain or running water. Without work parties, you wouldn't be riding Duthie at all. Evergreen and Sweetlines do a great job teaching kids the value of trail work through their summer camps.
I was rebuilding a f*cking berm when they came through @NWuntilrest. Vince there aren't any work parties at duthie because evergreen kicked out all the builders because what they were building wasn't "safe" enough!
