Video: Danny Hart - Winter in Spain
I've been on holiday with RoostDH. I'm not that fast. They treated me as if I was.

DMR Pump Track Challenge - Bristol, England.
Blimey, this really sparked some debate, eh? I was contacted by Pinkbike almost immediately after my initial post, who apologised and offered to remove the photo, which I told them wasn't necessary. I'm sure that most people would agree that using photos without permission is discourteous. To be accused if whining is a little offensive when you take into account the fact that I was influential in getting this pump track built, bringing this race to it and then providing a well received set of photos of the event. I also raced, if you're worried about me not riding enough. Chill out, ride more, troll less ;-)

Mountain Bike VS Snowboard
This was my exact thought - a snowboarder relies only on gravity for propulsion. The cyclist has gravity and the additional "boosts" of pedalling. Fun race no doubt, but not a surprising outcome in the slightest, especially with the flat finish! Also, when you consider the size of the jumps, they're designed to be hit at a certain speed - too slow and you hook up, too fast and you risk overshooting (anybody remember Gee from a few years ago?). So the speed for the majority of the race is dictated to within a few mph by the track, but the MTB has the advantage of pedalling out of the gate, when the speed drops and again on the flat finish. Like I say; fun, but not a surprising outcome.

Nope. As the author of the work you are the copyright owner unless you have made a contract with them that assigns copyright to them. Think about the photographers who take race photos to sell to the riders - they wouldn't have much of a business if the rider had copyright of the photo, would they? That's not the point though, I'm just talking about courtesy rather than law.

Brendog *was* there - he just stuck to heckling rather than riding.

Call me old fashioned, but isn't it courteous to at least ask the owner before you use one of their photos? (Even if it is just a crappy snapshot of the article's author?) http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150974890000601&set=a.10150974884700601.772061.562540600&type=3

Picture of the Month - October 2011
#1 is horrible - the colours are over processed, the light is flat and even the sequence of images are too compact to really follow properly #3 is a brilliant shot that simply screams speed and style and makes you want to ride #4 Well; how can you fail with a location like that?!
