First Look: SRAM's New GX Drivetrain Offers 520% Range
My bike has SRAM X01 speed and while it runs well the replacement costs for parts is out of this world expensive. SRAM IMHO rips us off with the price of replacement parts. I can't wait to switch back to Shimano when I see the much lower price for a replacement cassette etc. In the meantime I have been fortunate to find Garbaruk cassettes that work fine and are only half the price of SRAM. I also agree with most people here that SRAm is really taking the piss with this 'addition' to their range. We really deserve better but hey, they are doing a great job creating opportunities for new competitors. Now all we need is for bike manufacturers to stop selling their soul to SRAM OEM and start switching to the alternatives out there. However, SRAM must give their shit away so that may not change anytime soon given the pressure on pricing.

Garbaruk 10 x 50 Wide-Range 11-Speed Cassette for SRAM XD Drivers - Review
I recently got a Garbaruk 11 speed for XD and can report that it is absolutely flawless and half the price of the SRAM option. Great gear, great value and the money I saved allowed me to splurge out on an oval chainring that was, again, cheaper than the SRAM option. SRAM appear to give their components away to bike manufacturers and then hold us hostage for replacement parts. SRAM parts are very expensive and the level off price control is unbelievable so good luck hunting out a bargain. But worse still, the quality is nothing special and its even worse when you consider how much you have to pay for it. I hope more companies start producing alternatives as there is a huge gap in the market.

The Moment Movie - New Zealand Premiere & Tour Dates
Why is this not showing in Palmy? There is way more mt bikers in Palmy than half the locations. A missed opportunity!

Commencal Now Available Direct in New Zealand
Great to see the brand here but just under $7K for a bike with SRAM GX gearing is not very competitive when compared to YT and Canyon bikes that are carbon frames and much higher spec components for the same price. Sure Commencal are great but so are Canyon and YT. I'm not sure they will sell a lot of bikes in NZ at these prices.
