Rocky Mountain Instinct Carbon 70 BC Edition

$4000 USD
Up for sale is my 2020 Rocky Mountain Instinct Carbon 70 BC Edition - it's a 155mm Rear, 160mm Front travel all mountain / Enduro bike Excellent condition, as you can see from the pictures. I tried to show condition and wear and tear in the pictures. Grand Junction kissed it a bit on the fork, and a shuttle run got a little rub on the downtube. I had frame protection all over it for the last year, so it's faired amazingly for desert riding. I've strava'd all my rides with it for a total of 771 Miles on it in the last year. Suspension serviced at Naked Bike Works in early February 2021, and rode it 3 times after that. I only used the wheels for the first ride in 2020 until I put my own wheels on - Brand new Maxxis Aggressor EXO in the rear 2.5" that came stock. and a used Maxxis DHF 2.5" Maxx Terra in the front - I have a spare used Maxxis DHF 2.5 that I'll throw in. Fork: Fox 36 Float EVOL GRIP2 Performance Elite with High Speed and Low Speed Compression AND HS/LS Rebound Shock: Fox Float DPX2 Performance Shimano XT Everything Shifter/Derailleur 10-51 Tooth Cassette 32 t Chainring Xt 4 piston brakes with 203mm Rotors for MOST PREMIUM MAX stopping power. 150mm Race Face Turbine R (by Fox) Dropper Post. I put the really thick electrical tape on the chainstay in the little mountain pattern that you see, to quiet any chainslap down - and to keep the original flat chainstay gaurd nice. Includes crank booties - woot woot! I also have a Syncros fender that attaches via bolts to the fork that I'll include. Any questions, let me know - Cheers!

Rocky Mountain Altitude Alloy 70 Sram - Medium OBO

$2700 USD
Trusty steed looking for a new rider! I have ridden this bike for the past year - i purchased it new from Over the Edge in Fruita, and have had it maintained there as well. Stock : Shock - Fox Float DPX2 Performance Elite (serviced in the last month at Over the Edge) Sram Eagle makes it go - shifter, derailleur, cassette, chain.... Shimano XT makes it stop - 180mm rotors front and rear Fox Transfer 150mm dropper Tires are Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5WT both front and rear (I have an Aggressor 2.5wt that i'll throw in to have a spare rear) CHANGES/UPGRADES: The fork is from out local dudes/dudettes right down the street! MRP Ribbon Coil 160mm with the Soft spring in there (I have the Extra Soft & Medium springs as well... great range for those that ride medium bikes) I've had it maintained by MRP - fully serviced recently with one ride on it after service..just to make sure it still feels buttery smooth....it does! DtSwiss rear free-hub body upgrade from the dumb 3 pawl system to the super reliable Star Ratchet system that DTSwiss is praised for! (done by the mechanics at Over the Edge) the original rims that came with it (Sun Ringle Duroc 30) were super flimsy... and the 25mm internal width didn't play nicely with wide trail tires.... i dented the crap out of them (you know, if you ride in GJ) So i re-laced this bad boy up with Spank Oozy rims (oozy trail 395+ up front and oozy trail 345 rear) - 35mm width up front for a nice beefy front tire.... and 30mm in the rear for a more precise feel...yet still able to handle the beef. *CushCore installed in the rear... oh yeah... I used the matchmaker system to clean up the cockpit, so there's only one clamp on each side of the handlebars... Sram Eagle Shifters are match-maker'd into the Shimano xt brake levers... and i replaced that squeaky crunchy stiff feeling fox transfer lever with the oober-nice feeling Wolf Tooth ReMote... From day 1 I've had All Mountain Style frame protection all over the bike... and one some spots where i had a tool installed on the water bottle mount, to make sure it didn't scratch the frame. Although, as expected from a year of love in GJ... there are some nics and scratches here and there... but NO scratches on stanchions/suspension...(heck yeah!) Sold AS-IS Cash only - local sale (I DO travel Colorado and moab for work) I feel like i've reasonably priced it... but if you don't, I'm flexible if you want to pay more!...lol..jk. OBO

Review: Rocky Mountain Altitude Alloy 30
I LOVE my Altitude ride 9 setup in the STEEPest position for all around trail riding... Slightly longer reach, 66° HTA (65 feels too much like driving a bus on regular trails), and 75° STA..... I just put in a slightly larger volume spacer to get it to not be so linear ????‍♂️ Then for park days I slap it in the slackest option... ????????

MRP Has 2 New Forks, But 1 is Lighter & Costs Less - Interbike 2018
With MRP charging the way forward to a world without volume spacers, I wonder why they're suddenly embracing the idea with their "Huck pucks". ESPECIALLY when the weight of the ramp control is negligible when compared to a top cap and some volume spacers.... ???? Does it save THAT much more weight? I would like to see a Ribbon SL with the ramp control remaining intact, and saving weight with the shorter stanchions and internals for 120-130mm... I think I'll stick with my regular Ribbon for now ????

Ask Us Anything: DVO Suspension - Finished
How is the DVO "off the top" different/better than MRP's separately adjustable negative air chamber?... MRP will say that theirs is better, and DVO will say that theirs is better..... HOW are they DIFFERENT? and WHY is DVO's better ;)? Thanks!

Enve SES 3.4 Clincher Wheelset

$1200 USD
Enve SES 3.4 Clincher Wheelset - blacked out decals. DT Swiss 240 Hubs With ENVE Quick Release Skewers, and valve extenders. 700c These race wheels are amazing! - I used them for an ironman, and then a few road rides afterwards... They have maybe 15 hours of use. Nice and light.. yet aero - They feel amazing in cross winds, not like regular aero wheels that let you get blown around. Incredibly predictable handling. *I'm selling, because I've gotten hooked on the MTB bug.... ;) *I travel all over Colorado for work.. so if my schedule works out, I'm willing to meet in most places :) Description: The Smart ENVE System (SES) optimizes the interface between the frame surfaces and the wheels, creating an integrated system. Because the front and rear wheels are affected differently by the oncoming air, ENVE made the front wheel slightly shallower, allowing aiflow to stay attached at higher yaw angles, thus improving its stability and aerodynamics in any wind condition. Since the rear wheel stability is less affected by the oncoming wind, it is slightly deeper in order to maximize aerodynamics. SES wheelsets are also tested on a variety of frame designs in order to ensure superior drag results across the board and feature the highest strength to weight ratio of any wheelset in the industry. 700c wheelset Unidirectional carbon fiber construction DT Swiss 240 hubs Shimano / SRAM compatible freehub 35mm front rim depth, 45mm rear rim depth Wheel shape optimized to produce a predictable and linear steering response Includes skewers and carbon brake pads Weight: 680g(front), 820g(rear)
