Tech Tuesday - Cassette Removal and Installation
Although not at all ideal, if your in a pinch (like the night before a ride, and you don't have a chain whip) you can easily remove a cassette using a pipe wrench....I STRESS THOUGH......only do this if you are removing a cassette that you are going to be discarding, as the pipe wrench will damage the teeth on the cassette. You will still need a splined lock ring remover "socket" of course, to work with the pipe wrench. Oh Ya and lest we forget...Many cassettes can be removed simply by wrapping an old rag around the cassette, or using a durable leather glove to grip it. If the cassette is on very tight though, this will not work. (its worked MB 50% of the time for me though).

Kona Stinky Dee-Lux size Large--price drop--

$750 CAD
This is my 2005 Kona Stinky Dee-Lux, the frame size is Large. heres a link for the stock bike. http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2005&Brand=Kona&Model=Stinky+Dee-Lux&Type=bike Bike has all the bells and whistles, like 8 inch Hayes Hydro Disc brakes, Shimano XT derailleur, Truvative bar/stem/cranks, lock on grips, Fox DHX 4.0 rear shock etc. Front 888 fork and rear Fox DHX 4.0 are very adjustable and able to be set up for any rider weight and riding style. Upgrades on this bike are: 2006 Marzocchi 888 vf2 fork--mint shape Truvative Crank box guide and rollers. 2006 Sun S-type rims 2006 26 x 2.50" Maxxis Minion DH tires I bought this bike thinking I would get into DH riding, but I never did, so This bike is in fantastic shape and needs nothing. It has seen very little use and I have tuned cleaned/tuned/lubed it after every ride with proper bike tools and lubricants (no wd-40 or vise grips have ever seen this bike). This Bike was just over $3000 with the upgrades I chose. Having said that I am VERY FIRM on my asking price, as its 1/4 of what this bike cost, and its in fantastic shape. Getting a rig of this quality and condition for 750 is crazy cheap, if I don't get 750, I'll part it out for more. Feel free to call or email with any questions about the bike. you can reach me at 403-990-5581 8am-11pm thanks
