'Berg-Radeln' is just a translation into the German language. It means 'mountain biking.' So what about visiting Leogang without using the gondola? Okay, it is not the most unique place you can ride. And your enduro bike could take you much further into the mountains. But if you really want to totally shred down the hill after your rode up, you should use a track which is made just for this. Starting the day in the clouds, we got rewarded after the uphill with some late summer sun and nice scenery.

Austria and especially Leogang are off the Mountainbike map for me. The Anti-MTB laws which prevent Bikers from riding on even Fire roads are extreme ! Together with the fact that the Tourist Industry which runs places like Leogang actually support these laws in order to keep the bikers in their parks so they can get their money for lift tickets etc. is totally unacceptable ! The situation in Austria is extreme - check out UpMove if you want to learn more.

I've lived close to Austria over the last 5 years. Have been riding a lot in Tyrol + other Locations in and off bike parks. Never experienced any problems. Just go out 'n ride!!!
