This year I turn 30 and it was time for a quick look back at what I have been doing the last half of my life on a mountain bike. So many stories could be told. So many things rapidly changed over the years. Others are still the same, like Pinkbike still exists. Only the cool films from Radek B, dropping from houses and balancing bridges in the winter time have gone. These films and Kranked 2 definitely inspire us these days. So we had to film our own stuff too. The nice flip side of this is that you just can't forget things you filmed. So searching and cutting the old material was fun. The good thing is, a lot of my friends who started to live in this MTB world are still my riding buddies. That's how it should be guys!

Kids these days will never know the feeling of riding a 45 pound+ DH bike with buttery smooth 888s and narrow handle bars.

Shoulder width bars do allow you to stretch your arms out further in front of you, so you can absorb bigger hits when the damping on last gen forks bottoms out.

HA! my buddy had one of those old Raleighs! Heaviest 6" travel bike ever made, with like a 69 degree HT angle.

Absolutely one of the best videos I've seen about mountain biking. This year marks 20 years for me and I wish I had this kind of archival footage... or even 1/2 of your skills. Well done.

Now thats what I call a f*cking video! I am now raring for a ride, although in 15 years I'll be 51. To have 1/10 of that skill by then would be a massive blessing! Keep that shit up!

That was simply excellent. Shows that once you catch the mtb bug there's no going back. Here's to another 15 from a fellow 30-year-old this year (with 1/4 of the skill though Wink )

Remember when skinnies were trendy, some off them quite high. I destroyed a lot of rear mechs. Currently if it's not at least 10" wide I go around lol.
