It is under new colors and with new projects that the southerners crew begins the new season, with new spots and riders, but always with an aerial and engaged perspective of our sport. The idea here is to take a tour of what is the best in France and its surrounding area.
To introduce this new year we were looking for a very special spot. We had to deal with the very bad weather in the beginning of June. We also wanted to make a video to inaugurate our new "small" suspension rig and in the same time to try to see what we were going to do with these Meta AM V4.
Our choice fell on the Tourtour spot better known as the "Park Hips" whose first shovels shots were given 13 years ago by the "Team Hips" and that the Julien Gerbino local since still maintains.
It was with the company of Julien and Stéphane Huchet (another local) that we could do our first laps on what would be for a few days our base camp. The spot is centrally located, easily accessible from the local road but perfectly concealed. Here the guys have arranged for maximum tranquility and see the spot prospering over the years. And it''s only when you stop the car that you can see the first lines and the potential of the place.
A first line, a second, then a third, a fourth... a lot of opportunities, transfer from one to the other, from the warm-up line to the line where you will have to get out fingers. This piece of hill offers to us good opportunities for riding and shooting.
Then, we were moving to what appears as the most part "Freeride" of the park: the quarry. New slopes and hills that offer us more elevation changes and some nice curving turns. All these lines lead to the stone-pit, and the majority ends to a more or less important road gap. With these lines, we could test the bikes resistance including in the Flip and 3.6 Romain's rotations.
Finally, we went to ride a large wholesale based on Step Down, Step Up Hip edgy line, it was the opportunity for us to put big draws and test our race suspensions to their limits.
This shooting was a wonderful meeting with highly motivated locals - which perpetuate their spot in time with big motivation and by opening new lines. We want to thank Julien and Stéphane for their welcome and for unrestrained guides us on their spot .
