Somewhere Inside of the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca, México, there is a hidden millennial trail system developed by the Zapotec culture hundreds of years ago. Nowadays local riders scout these mountains finding a great variety of trails to put together a multi-day enduro race that will test the fitness, riding and navigation skills of every rider. The race takes place on the same dates Mexicans celebrate the "Day of the Dead", a tradition where people make a party to honor the ones who have passed away.

The Trans-Sierra Norte has been designed to continue with the blind racing spirit. Expect 3 long days packed with wild single track riding, tasty food, colorful culture and the best times delivered by the Trans-Sierra Norte team to make this bike party happen.

Come and live México like nobody has done it before!

What our racers have to say:
bigquotesTrans-Sierra Norte is one race you don't want to miss. Everything last year was awesome! The trails were world class, super rowdy and fun, and the camp vibes, the people, the organizers really made this experience so special. Getting a true feel of the Mexcian culture, as this race is during the Dia de Los Muertos festival. It's an experience you won't forget. Definitely one of my favorite events of 2017.Marco Osborne

bigquotesThis was the most amazing experience in Oaxaca, racing in the first ever TranSierraNorte enduro! From the first day, the day of the dead celebration, to camping high up in the mountains each night, and who could forget the after party! At every step of the way, racers were treated to amazing Mexican culture and hospitality! The food was incredible, I had THE BEST steak I've ever had, and then there's the riding... OMG! Mexican 'thunderloam' is what I'm calling it. Every stage began with the lushest and loosest, organic duff muffins that this PNW loam junkie could gobble up. But then, you'd emerge from the forest into the dry and rocky valley below, right when your grip was just starting to fail, and it was a full-blown rumble in the jungle to make it in one piece to the finish! Honestly some of the most taxing Enduro stages I've witnessed! Perfect balance of shuttling, pedaling and descending. I take my hat off to all the hard-working people who had the dream of delivering this experience, as well as our awesome group of racers, who I am proud to have as friends now! Also, it was an honor to stay with the locals who live in the mountains and are committed to preserving the environment, which they were so gracious in sharing with us. I'm already registered for next year...Matt Patterson
