I would be wary of doing business with this person. I paid for this bike 10-31, they said ship 11-1, but were still trying to sell the bike for more money 11-2. then when I asked for an update they said I owed Paypal fee's. There is nothing in his Ad about PP fee's. (I'm sure he'll go add it after he see's this) There was nothing in our text on the payment amount about extra PP fee's. I paid him what we agreed on, I asked him to confirm payment right then. He did so within the hour and did not mention any fee's. Then he didn't ship the bike and when I asked he tried to EXTORT me for more money. Sure it was only 60 bucks, but it was BS. Then he says he'll refund, but charge me for going and getting the XL box, disassembly, packing, and then reassembly since he didn't ship it. I told him that was fine and we'd let PayPal decide if I owed him any money. But he has not made any refund. I'm sure I'll get my money back EVENTUALLY, but it kinda sucks and I'd just like to give everyone a heads up.
This was gonna fix my "new -to me- bike" itch till next Spring. (so hard to decide if you should grab end of season deals, or wait till next season for new bikes...) And I was gonna put money into a nice set of carbon wheels to go with it cause then I'd have the nice wheels for the next bike... (and alloy transitions are HeavyAF) But as of 10-31 there were NEW old stock Sentinels for 2999, so it needed to be a good deal to not just go buy the new bike. So the 2450.00 shipped that he agreed to and the shape the bike looks to be in, and he's obviously sold a lot of Transitions, mostly his kids bikes. So this seemed like a decent deal until the guy decided he wanted more money... :)
Anyway, I'm not saying not to buy it. I'm just saying be careful. later...
