First Ride: 2024 Cannondale Scalpel - The XC Classic Gets Longer & Slacker
I am usually a fan of Cannondale design. But those triceratops bumps on the seattube aren't doing it for me. Also the chainstay being wider (at the BB end) than the downtube (on the other side of the chainring) is just poor consideration of aesthetics.

Video: Inside the Hope Factory
I have a Hope Evo crank new in the box but I can't decide whether to use that for my new bike, or a Shimano XT one. Heart vs head.

The absolute state of that white wall in the background. Did you take the photos in an abandoned mill?

Movies For Your Monday - Connor Fearon, Sven Martin, Ryan Decenzo, Travis Rice, & More
Weird but great you necro-bumped that Tom La Marche video. I love FGF as much as everyone else who thinks the Radavist should still be Prolly is Not Probably.

Orange Five 27.5" frame, small / 16", Boost 148

$350 GBP
2017 Orange Five frame in 'Mountain Mint'. 27.5" wheels, Boost 148mm rear, 140mm rear travel. Brand new Kinetic Max compliment frame bearings fitted just before sale (see photos) - installed using the proper Orange tool and all bolts torqued to spec. Seals lifted from bearings before installation and packed with extra Rocol Sapphire triple life bearing grease. Rockshox Monarch RT3 rear shock - working well, has been serviced by TF Tuned a couple of years ago now, but probably not done 125h riding since then. Climb and lockout functions working fine. Complete with Cane Creek 40 headset (1.5" tapered, bearings decent, no crown race), Orange seat clamp, pack of brand new OEM rubber frame cable ports, +40mm rear brake adapter, and original warranty card from Orange. This has been ridden and has some scratches and rub to the paint as you'd expect, but no dents and has been carefully inspected for cracks when I changed the bearings - none present! All paint wear shown in pictures. Some paint missing under the seatclamp so invisible when built up anyway. £350 collected from Peebles please. Happy to post at cost.

Video: Chain Reaction Cycles Bids Farewell in 'The Final Send'
I got pretty emotional watching this. CRC has been part of my mountain biking world since - from age 10/11 ish - I used to obsess over their two page adverts in MBUK Magazine (the ones with all the parts and prices listed). That was thirty years ago.

Juin's 6 Piston Semi-Hydraulic Brakes - Taipei Cycle Show 2024
I have Juin Tech something-or-others on my winter road bike and they are trash. Impossible to bleed, nowhere near enough adjustment for pad wear, and sticky pistons. Never again.
