Kyle Strait and Tyler McCaul are two very different people. Not just differing in the obvious size department, but they are opposites in every way. Over the course of the year we will be bringing you six episodes following them from their off season at home to what it's like at a major slopestyle contest.
In this first episode we go to Tyler's hometown Santa Cruz, Ca. Tyler spent weeks digging on these trails so we could shoot them and for that you should thank him. If you are a fan of flow, you will not be dissatisfied with what is below.
Two very different people...
Butterin' the muffin.
Payoff, Tyler spent a lot of time behind the shovel to destroy this berm.
Don't call them slopestylers
This berm was ripping tires off of the bead with 60 psi.
Kyle Strait is the smoothest big man out there.
One of the most fun looking trails I have seen in a while.
and it begins...
There are some pretty interesting ways to wait on light and test friendships.
Once the sun came down a bit, it was time to roost.
Tyler catching Kyle's enormous draft.
The whole trail was flat out and loamy.
Kyle boots one through the trees with Tyler in tow
There were some dedicated diggers who built this trail.
Thanks for the amazing vid Sage and thanks for finding the perfect song for it. So over this dub step, same song, trended out, over killed sh*t that seems to be in every edit. Got to be one of the years best VOY!
Well before Messere, there was Kyle Strait! he was just awsome riding with the big guns - and winning - the Rampage way back.. good to see him on GT than on Pivot
GT is stacked this year... Jeez ! Athertons, Beaumont, Kyle strait, Tyler, and all the other riders for other types of rising than gravity ! Way to go GT !
Tyler on the distortion and Kyle on the Force (although I think he was on the distortion for a couple of shots), then they switch to the Fury on the second half.
We're both riding Distortion's in the first bit and then in the second bit I'm on a Force Carbon Pro and Kyle is on the Sanction. At the end we're both ridin the Fury's...
Doubt these were done on Instagram. This thing called photoshop, it does amazing stuff and has been doing it for years before Facebook got their wallet out and spent a billion on a completely average app and made it famous. Oh and before digital, remember that stuff called film, this is how images actually looked 30-50 years back!
