Bike Check: Sam Blenkinsop's Crestline RS 205 VHP
That is a darn good looking bike right there. Photo's don't even do it proper justice.

ODI Releases New Reflex Lock-On Grips
One thing that has not been mentioned and is the #1 reason for numb hands. (Assuming you are talking about riding in general and not just shuttle runs) Bike fit! Cockpit, saddle, saddle position, etc. Maybe this is too XC of an answer... Get a bike fit with a proper fitter who can analyze your sit bones, saddle position. Yes, it costs money, but most health insurances cover a fit, so give yours a ring first. :)

Review: 3 Mountain Bike Handguards Ridden & Rated
@ocnlogan: I'm in Bend and have used handguards for three years now. In the cold months, I can use 1 stage lighter gloves than without them. Absolutely worth it to me, as the thicker the glove, the less bar feel when going fast. I honestly don't give a rip what other people think about how my bike looks. The benefits in cold weather and keeping the sharp bushes off my hands are worth it for me. Do they save you from hard tree punches? No. Can you still get whipped by some branches? Yes. Will your hands still get wet from the bushes? Yes, but far less than without.

First Ride: Crestline & Cascade Components Team Up to Create a Virtual High Pivot Downhill Bike
The photos do not do this bike justice. It's absolutely stunning in person and fits the "look good, feel good" saying perfectly. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on one of these, you'll have the statement piece of 2023. Congratulations, Troydon!

Field Test: 10 Trail and Enduro Bikes Face the Efficiency Test
Weight is going to play a role on the much longer steady climbs or over longer rides, which has for sure been proven time after time. I would imagine pedal efficiency and tire/wheel/pressure were making these time gaps so big in such a little amount of time.

Field Test: 10 Trail and Enduro Bikes Face the Efficiency Test
@JSTootell: Unless he was coasting uphill (assuming he pedaled the whole way)... there would be 0 difference. NP was the right way to do this. You'd want average if the test included the trail back down to avoid any time gapping sprints.

Acerbis Launches X-Elite MTB Handguards
I've been running the AVS hand guards for just about 2 years. They are the dumbest looking, best accessory I have ever put on my bikes. They definitely take the dry cold air nip off during the cold months allowing me to wear 1 level of glove less. They don't eliminate brush hits, but they help 80% of the way. Broke a mount in a crash yesterday and will replace them with these because i'm an ex moto guy and it makes me feel like I am not totally disconnected from the sport... I categorize these like droppers to XC dudes a couple years ago. Try it, give it time, you'll never go back.
