Thanks to Unit Clothing for going out and making these awesome edits and keep it locked to Pinkbike as they've got a lot more in store in 2012.

you can do a lot more tricks on a bmx... double frontflips, triple backs, quad tailwhips etc but MTB still looks so much cooler! Smile

Our top athletes don't train for all time tricks though. Its a whole different game. You can't have a list of tricks you can just barely do to win crankworx. Most of the jumps are shady enough! The top riders get a better pay off from having dialed lines down the course. There's guys like Montgom and Benny who geniously come up with new tricks all the time though. I haven't seen a 360 triple downside tailwhip in bmx yet or a that sushi thingy montgom did a couple times. You won't ever see those in crankworx though. Its about having the line come together from top to bottom.

Well said^, a lot of people dont realize that doing tricks down a slopestyle course is a lot different than doing tricks on a practice jump. Being solid goes farther than circus tricks

There are more places like this than you could imagine, they are all secret, because if it was public knowledge they wouldn't look like this. If everyone that rode took care of their trails half as much as they ride them, every riding place would look like this. Because only 10-20% of riders do trail maintenance/ building, most of our trails need help!

I don't have the nuts to ride here, but I have been there and talked to some of the builders, a truly beautiful place. Well Done!

Probably a noob question, but why are there bmx only spots?
  • 7 0
mostly depends on who digs, some spots are no dig no ride
  • 7 0
 purists. It's like religion
  • 6 2
you also tend to get more case happy mtbers than bmxers
  • 2 2
no one wants to case jumps like that on a bmx

no one wants to case jumps like that.

Aslong as you're a digger you'll be welcome at most spots, even if they are bmx only. Just gotta know what youre doing, put in the hard work and meet the right people. Lazy people dont get to ride spots like this.

Riding someone else's trail spot is a sacred privilege. You must ask permission. Plan on being told no, or just having the digger pretend like he has no idea what you're talking about. Do not bring firends. Do not bring cameras. Don't mention it to your friends or family. Do not post about your "sick sesh" on facebook. Do not blog about them. Never tell anyone where they are, and lie about what city and state they're in. You do not skid. You do not case. If you have to hurt yourself to avoid skidding, don't skid. Before you even think about riding, water everything. If you have to walk two miles to get water, walk two miles to get water. Never walk on lips. Never walk on landings. Don't speak to the trail builders or their friends until spoken to. Probably don't even make eye contact. Apologize for everything all the time, and ask what you can work on while they ride. Plan on spending at least an hour not talking and shoveling some other project while the builders and their friends ride, drink, don't help you, and generally enjoy themselves. It's about respect; they deserve yours, and you deserve none. They build with dirt, and you are less than dirt. You are nothing. Maybe if you come and help dig and show up for every dig session for two years they'll address you as a peer. Probably not. If you break these rules you will be yelled at, made fun of, shunned, banished, shot, stabbed, buried alive, or have your tires slit.

The reason BMXers hate mountain bikers is because mountain bikers do not understand these simple, obvious truths.

if the trail bosses saw their trails getting this much coverage, especially saying where they are located, they're probably not stoked. not cool.
  • 3 0
saying the town/suburb that there located in is definitely not enough to let people find them.
  • 6 0
Pretty sure the trail bosses were the 1s that allowed this video and riding to happen..
