Round three could not be more different to rounds one and two - gone is the southern hemisphere dust to be replaced by lush greens, muddy ruts and blooming bluebells of a European spring. An all stages on board video preview with Fabien Cousinie is always worth a watch - and we think he might be inheriting some of the famed "Irish Crack."

EWS Round Three Ireland

All that said, practice was a tough, rugged affair ahead of Sunday's race here in County Wicklow: Seven stages in one day, 50 kilometres of pedalling and 1750 meters of climbing are not to be taken lightly.

How the F#^K does he see where suppose to go...i would ride 3 times slower and crash after 10 meters. Those guys and girls are crazy good riders !

Lol at the end when he doesn't know if it is the end or not. I've definitely done that before too but the opposite, the end of the stage not being so clear and i've continued to send it way past the finish line only to realise I passed it ages ago!

 Agreed!

Are these trails open to just anyone (on non-race days)? Would be fun to go ride 'em all.

@MtbSince84: yep my man you can ride Carrick trails throughout the year unless there is forestry work or hunting on. Smile

Never really grasp how fast the sharp end of racing actually are until you watch headaches through tight trees like this, unreal

"Tight and on the Pill" okay maybe I'm getting too old to keep up but this is a commonly used phrase for biking? I don't think I've heard that one before, not while riding my bike anyway.
