This is a vintage '80s (1981) lugged road bike built here in Portland in the Strawberry Workshop under the tutelage of Andy Newland by a well-known former US National Team racer. 56x56, Reynolds 531 tubing, Henry James lugs and BB shell, Campagnolo vertical dropouts. Big tire clearances, more of a touring than racing geometry. Built as many were in those days with a mix of components: Campy DT shifters, Shimano 600 cranks, Suntour derailleurs, Modolo brakes, Specialized hubs on 700C Campy Omega rims, true and very good brake tracks. Newer Cane Creek repro hoods. Very nice vintage San Marco Turbo saddle. Plenty of clearance for the Schwalbe 35C tires - this bike can handle anything from pavement to gravel - perfect l'Eroica bike. In good shape for a 40 year old bike, no dents, some scrapes and chips but very solid and not rusty. Will ship via bikeflights and accept Paypal. Make an offer. Portland, OR

It's time to sell my lovely, Massachusetts-built Slim Chance from 1991 (I believe). I can provide serial number if you can decode it. It's a Plue (purplish-blue) Somerville-made frame and fork, equipped with Campagnolo headset, Centaur 10 shifters, Chorus rear/Record front derailleur and Record brakes, super rare Cook Bros road cranks (39/53) with very low miles and little wear (etching still clear), American Classic seatpost, American Classic Sprint 350 wheels, period-correct Rolls saddle. Frame and fork in very nice condition, zero dents, some paint wear/touchup paint from frame pump wear. All decals in great shape including the chainstay and lower "don't tread on me" ones. Really light bike and rides like a dream. 55 square pretty much. Will ship with bikeflights and take paypal. I can send my ebay feedback with about 1000 transactions and 100% feedback if you're interested.

Brent Steelman was one of the country's premier custom steel frame builders in California. When he stopped building, his framesets were retailing for over $4,000. This one is in excellent condition with beautiful metallic green paint, and a full Campagnolo Centaur 10 speed group with Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels with Vittoria Pave 24c tires. Silver Chris King headset and Thomson post and stem complement the silver Campy components. Fork is a brand new, uncut Easton EC90SL superlight full carbon fork. Steerer can be cut to your preferred length. Frame has no damage aside from scratches (pictured) and really is beautiful. Top tube is 58cm, sloping. Seat tube 52cm c-c, 55 cm c-t. Fits about 5'10" to 6'1". Very light bike, right at 18 pounds. Frame is just a hair over 3.5, very light for steel. This is a classic handmade steel bike that you can't get anymore.
