Amazing weekend, shame my shoulder thought it was a good time to pop out and have a look around itself during practise.
cheers again for picking me bike up for us.
I miss Afan so much, I went to uni in Swansea and for 3 years had one of the best trail centres I have been to on my doorstep. Stuff is getting better here in Cornwall with Cardinham and Lanhydrock opening but we just don't have the vertical for anything really spectacular.
Driftmonkey you should try the mini enduro series, shorter stages and a very relaxed atmosphere. Its a great place to start. I'm planning to enter a round or two of the gravity enduro series next year once I've got a bit more experience under my belt, and improved my fitness!
I've been riding for years as well and apart from entering a couple of phat wednesdays while in whistler had never raced before. Neither had I ever ridden further than 22 miles off road. But I managed to get round! Placed mid pack as well. Just go for it, what's the worst that can happen?
No mate the next one is last weekend of august, its near shrewsbury. Then there's another one at forest of dean I think in october. Entry opens about 6 weeks before each race. They have a facebook page which is useful. Def worth doing mate its a brilliant day out!
so glad i made the effort to do Afan an my first UKGE! puncture in stage 3 ruined times but a great day and experience, well worth the 700mile round trip
RIDE AFAN NOW
Thanks kes the mini enduro looks good i will probably enter a few. Are they all finished for 2014?
