The Complete Guide to 2019's Enduro World Series Teams
I know this has been debated here and elsewhere to death, but coincidentally, I just saw a documentary about a dude participating in Iron Man. The amount of (WADA sanctioned) supplements he has to take daily to compete professionally is absolutely ridiculous, and definitely not on any way physiological. The simple fact is, all supplements in one way or another are PEDs and the rules on what can and cannot be taken in training and in competition is largely arbitrary and based on pseudo-science. The number of randomised trials performed on athletes to determine an absolute benefit of one substance while taking many other supplements: 0. Now, if there are firmly set rules, even imperfect ones, athletes should follow them, and be sanctioned if they brake them. I'm just very sceptical about the nature of all sports not done just to better oneself, or for fun....

From The Top: Szymon Kobylinski, Founder of NS Bikes
I'm sure this has to do with the fact that Szymon is from Gdansk - i.e. Poland's "North Shore". Also, outside of German speaking countries, I'm sure there are other acronyms one would find more offensive and associate with Nazis than NS.

Tariffs on Chinese Bicycles & Parts Will Begin Next Week
Hmm, if China were to play hard, they would hike the prices, and limit the export of rare earth metals (of whom they are the world's dominant producer and exporter - and that the US was very careful not to impose tariffs on), and the only high-tech thing manufactured in the US will be a good ol' steam engine... Tariffs are idiotic policy. Who will work those shit low paying manufacturing jobs that Trump wants oh so badly to return to American soil when there is already a highly saturated job market, and wages are actually going down exactly because there is an overabundance of low paying jobs? The immigrants he doesn't want in the country? The ageing, disease-ridden population with a decreasing life expectancy? How about instead of giving tax breaks to the rich, the US government used the economic conjuncture to invest in education and infrastructure to prepare for the inevitable eventuality of another recession? Nah... MAGA!!!

Getting To Know NHL Goaltender Thomas Greiss
@westeast: Sorry, but the link between vaccines and autism is a myth. There is not one iota of solid evidence to support the claim. And, no, I don't need to read more about it... The increased incidence can be attributed to factors like higher age of parents at birth, different diagnostic criteria for developmental disorders at younger ages, even better perinatal care that allows more prematurely born babies to survive. Vaccines save lives. Kudos to Thomas for supporting a very worthy cause though! A top bloke in and out of the skates :)
