Christmas riding

Conditions are pretty good here in France to ride bikes. Snow is up the mountain and we got tons of water on our favorite trails. That makes our ride a little bit nasty and sketchy but still very funny! www.shaperideshoot.com

Well that's embarrassing considering I'm half way through a degree in forestry. Didn't even occur to me they could be birch, I was pretty sure they were a spruce or fir of some kind because of the bark texture but it changes as they get old. The bits of conifer foliage in shot but it must be understory. They look pretty big for birch as well, I've seen some big ones but they usually rot out and die before they get that size because they have really poor disease resistance. In the back of the shot it must be spruce or something otherwise it wouldn't be so dark in there mid winter. I'm really sad...

Why would you do this your bike would probly need a full rebuild of the brakes shocks and hubs headset bb pedals like I can imagan how much water was in there but dose look like fun though

OMG i only ride my bike when its dry, but not so dry that dust will infiltrate my parts but also not so wet that i have to rebuild my bike after each ride.

What a sad case, just ride your bike instead of worrying about it getting it dirty. Honestly this is how wet the pennines are for the majority of the year and you don't see any of us stop riding or complaining. Mint video by the way!

Its called mountain biking!.. It wasn't even that muddy.. Oh and when you get home you wash it and make it clean again. That's why bearings have seals. Awesome video btw...
