CalWootton, no we did not due to weather conditions. the cable cam has exposed motors and wires and the weather was constant snow rain and the moisture was messing up the cameras. we didn't want to take a chance. but don't worry. This summer you will see loads of shots with the cam.

Ha. My buddy Jeff and I were riding that day you guys were filming. We were like these guys are f*cking troopers filming all day in those conditions. Great work guys.

Well the conditions certainly didnt hold him back. I remember seeing that place on the old chain reaction videos and thinking it looked a lot like a bigger version of one of our local spots.

Anybody noticed his taeroffs? He had it on one side and later on the other. I don't get it.

Do you use anything as a brake or is it not needed with the servo you're using?
  • + 2
 The Servo.

Synchronous braking..same technology found in the Toyota Prius, uses the motor to brake and re-charges the battery

 Preciate it.

When you modify a servo for 360 rotation, you give up the braking ability because the potentiometer is now zero'd. It looks like the left pulley wheel has some sort of brake going to it. If it is in fact a brake, do you mind telling me how you accomplished that?

The forward/reverse on the cam is driven by a brushless motor.....not a servo.....the motor/motor controller provide the braking capabilities.

Unreal, thank you. Servo just didn't make sense.
