Cat 3 upper section. Guess they didn't want us to repeat any of the old course. Which is a bummer since I love the other upper section.

I paused it at the start of MotoGuzzi, and the sign (in this video) still says right; for Cat 2, and left for Cat 3. This guy went left.

I promise "the guy" knew where he was going. It was me.... Anyhow, we needed to shake it up a bit and Double Bypass is pretty sweet to try to carry speed effectively. When it's this dry, the upper White Knuckle section is dangerous for people. Every extrication during the last race was in the same spot. Muffin Top is super fun when it's fast like it is now as well. To go fast you're overjumping the tables keeps it rough.

srsly tho olympicdirtsociety (I think that's Scott), would a sixxer be potentially useful for the Cat2 this weekend or is the lower section too rough?

A good rider on a sixxer could do fine. The middle section is a bit rough in spots, but I think it's a toss up. Me personally I would ride my DH so I could haul and overjump the tables on muffin top without stress and not get slowed up by a few holes in Double Bypass. But I am old and untalented.

Ben.....you should show a little respect. You want a different line then go somewhere else or produce your own race! I know its tough not to wine when your 20, but why don't you put your big boy pants on and ride Cat 1 if you think your all dat (or are you afraid of the smackdown?)!

The upper section looks fun and adds length to the course. Stoked to be riding it this weekend. Definitely going to be more pedaling and less braking than the last race.

One last clarification: Here's what goes into course choice, 1. Safety (gotta keep this thing going by avoiding negligence. Intersections are a big concern) 2. Fun 3. Variety 4. Gnar This particular course is one of my favorite combos to try to drop people on. If you do things right you can make a lot of time on people.
