May I ask how you managed to fracture your tibia? it almost seemed like the full brunt of the fall would have been on your collarbone or shoulder blade

@Steezwhip: Hi. My knee hit into the nosepiece of my helmet. This broke my tibial plateau and my sternum as the helmet pushed against my chest.

Is it super obvious to you at some point that the trick is blown and you need to ditch the bike and try and preserve yourself? Or how does it work?
I've never flipped bikes, but I'm always curious how the guys know when to bail as the crashes always look so scary!
