Brutal Crash in Les Gets

Went to do transfer jump into lower jump park in Les Gets, France, had way too much speed and overshot, managed to land on two wheels saving my legs from snapping, but then hit a rock and slipped, pad got dragged from my leg/knee, then i lost a chunk of flesh from my knee and had to get stitches. 4 weeks since this crash.

I know where it is... and this step-up (as it's not a jump) should be interdicted. It lies at the bottom of a fast track and it crosses the starting / waiting spot for the small jump park. Riders coming from the fast track can't see if there's someone crossing and it's very very dangerous. The last year there was a log in the ground before the step-up, but it lasted for few days then (apparently) it was removed: I am afraid for the crash, but try to think what could have happened if there was another rider down there.

That jump is really really fun though, be a shame to block it lol

@bobj @RebelYell I agree it is a dangerous spot as you can't see anyone waiting on the platform and they can't see you, but it is also really fun to ride, so maybe if the trees were cut back a bit so everyone had a better view? Although, in this instance, my mate (the one who filmed) made sure people didn't set off so I had a clear run to eat shit haha

@JustThatGuyDan: I thought your friend checked the line before you engaged the jump (also noticed the few riders waiting on the platform). That's super fine to do it safely, but believe me I saw a lot of riders doing it without checking if the line was clear... I know it's fun, but it's in the wrong spot. Also consider that there could be also kids in the jump park and they don't start from the platform but exactly in the spot where you landed.

@RebelYell: Yeah very true, maybe they will change it before something like that does happen
