spent 6 hours at Ae forest and didnt even get 3 mins riding...
only got 2 runs in because the push up track is so bloody long and takes you all the way round. and got two punctures at the start of each run so walked all the way to the top to walk all the way back down...

ah sweet ill be gettingtubeless sorted on my next bike for sure! tbh last time we were rilunning lower pressures to get more grip but now we just tried to avoid punctures at all costs and this happened...

@stotty1594: yeah thats the beauty of tubeless, lower pressure does make a big difference, go for decent tyres too, prob best to ask peeps on here which best goo/tyre combo

@baggyferret: ive got decent tyres already, I have the schwalbe magic mary on the front and a hans dampf on the rear. I will have a look at making my own sealant as theres a recipe somewhere that lasts longer than the life of the tire.
ps I uploaded a photo of the push up track for Ae forest its been drawn on in blue

I want to try an enduro bike see if its more fun in some of the more local spots to me. on some trail a DH bike is a bit much and feels kinda sluggish. we normally get about 4-5 runs in if we get there early enough

A super capable enduro bike is really good on he descents, give it a shot and you might like it!

Thanks! Ive added a title and a description now which tells you more about my actual ride... or walk rather...

@stotty1594: ah gutted do you run tubeless? a direct push up track would be better than going all around surely? nice weather for a walk tho
- + 1
@baggyferret: no I dont run tubeless I never get round to it but I was running 30psi in the front and 35psi in the back because I wanted to make sure I wouldnt get a puncture but because the pressure was so high I had no grip and I was still getting pinch punctures.. yeah a direst puch up track would be better but it takes you like a hour to walk up and like 3 mins to get all the way to the bottom of this trail...

@stotty1594: i didn't get on with tubeless as i ride up & downhill and to get benefits of tubeless i'd need to keep deflating to go down and re-inflate for the ups, but might be good for your riding?
haha yeah i try to find the long way back down from mountains to make the effort of getting up there more rewarding..

@baggyferret: ill get a photo of the trail map to show you what I mean and I would use tubeless but does it stop pinch punctures? cause thats my issue. and its only on those trails the rocks stick out so much if you run tubes and you push hard your lucky to get to the bottom without a puncture! last time me and dad went we counted all the punctures we got and I think the total was like 16! so tubeless is deffinately a must on my next bike but wanting to sell mine so no point atm

@jakecallcut: dont you ride a DJ bike though? for a DH bike you dont want the pressure to be anywhere near 55-60 for loose gravel and rocky stuff I think in future im going to go 40psi and I really cba with punctures anymore haha
