Taming the Wildcat
My biggest solo self-filmed undertaking to date the video takes in two of Scotland's most northerly trail centres in addition to some wonderful loam.

Some effort self filming all that mate you must have done double the mileage!

Is that your normal trail speed going uphill? Very impressive. What do you use to film yourself? I want to give self filming a go, but all I have is a DSLR.

Not really, the rocky bit at the start you have to keep up the momentum to get through but when I'm self filming I tend to ride stuff a bit faster and different to usual since I'm focusing on one particular feature for a shot. Depends if I've had my porridge for breakfast or not.
I just use a super simple tripod setup, the thing with self filming is that you don't even need a very good tripod because you don't need to move the top of the tripod (the head). Video specific fluid tripod heads are a lot more expensive so you could save a bunch if you just want to give it a shot with something cheap. You can just stick a DSLR on a tripod and point it in the right direction.
Cheers!
