DEEP SUMMER PHOTO CHALLENGE
6 Photographers | 3 Days | 1 Epic Slide Show Event
The Deep Summer Photo Challenge returns once again to Crankworx Whistler on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, with five pro photographers invited to showcase their slideshows in the contest. This year’s lineup showcases a deeply talented crew, representing a diverse mix of perspectives, styles, and backgrounds from across the mountain bike and outdoor industries, exploring the theme: Resilience in Motion. The Pinkbike Deep Summer Wildcard Search invites another photographer to compete among this prestigious crew and begins May 27th, with the winner selected by online vote.

The photographers will rally their chosen athlete teams to embark on three days of intense shooting and editing commencing Friday, July 24th. Slideshows will be handed in Monday, July 27th at 1 p.m. Then, on Tuesday, July 28th, the massive crowd at Whistler Olympic Plaza will experience deep summer in Whistler, through the lenses of six mountain biking storytellers.
