You're looking at a Large (19") 2008 Kona Coilair with a few choice upgrades. I haven't been able to ride the bike for the last two years because of school and a string of injuries, and it's sadly time for it to go. That said, I just finished completely overhauling it and I can't remember the last time it looked or rode this good. Each and every part has been broken down and re-greased/lubed/cleaned, and the wheels have been trued.

The bike climbs well for its weight, and is planted and confidence inspiring on the way down. The Magic Link system takes a bit of time to adjust, but once you have it dialed, it works just as intended, limiting the travel to 6" when the rider's weight is forward to climb, and adding an extra inch once the going gets steep and the rider's weight shifts into the backseat. Swapping the stock Marzocchi 55 fork for a Fox 36 Van, and the Hayes Stroker brakes for Elixirs (with 203 and 185 mm rotors instead of the stock 180's) has really brought the bike to life on descents, resulting in an overall stiffer, plusher, more controllable, and more fun bike.

Upgraded Components:

Fork: Fox 36 Vanilla RC2 160mm (oil recently changed)
Brakes: Avid Elixir CR SL (203 mm rotor in the front, and 185 mm rotor in the rear)
Seatpost: Gravity Dropper Turbo LP (4" model)
Rear Derailleur: Shimano SLX 9-speed, short cage (Brand New, also with brand new chain)

Stock Components:

Rear Shock: Fox RP2 w/ XV sleeve
Headset: TH w/ Big Nut
Crankset: FSA MOTO MegaExo (36t,24t chainrings)
Bottom Bracket: FSA MegaExo
Cassette: Shimano Deore, 11-34, 9-speed
Front Derailleur: Shimano Deore
Shifters: Shimano Deore
Handlebars: Kona DH Aluminum Riser
Stem: Kona XC/BG
Grips: Kona LOG
Front Hub: KK Disc 20mm
Rear Hub: Shimano M525 Disc
Rims: Sun EQ 2.7 SL
Tires: Maxxis Advantage 26x2.4
Saddle: WTB Pure V Sport
Seat Clamp: Kona QR

Only damage to the bike is a somewhat long scratch in the paint along the top of the top tube, a minor scratch on the left stanchion of the fork (has been sanded and coated with clear nail polish, and so far has had no effect on the seal wear or fork performance), and the usual wear on the chainstay from chain slap.
